Rubtsov, Myers and Twarynski in the lineup and Hagg sits. Looking forward to seeing how Rubtsov and Myers play. Rubtsov should get some PK time as well.

I have a feeling they are both going to play well and this will be our team until Patrick is ready to come back.

The depth changes significantly when he come back for the bottom 6.

Well we eeked out a win against the Debbie's, saw no sense of urgency in their play. Still seem lost at time's. As a side note, Bruan is the new Amac,

Not that it will ever happen again, but does anyone have any thoughts on pulling the goalie if you get a power play in overtime?

Seems like the Flyers were playing with one down low and basically had a 3v2 on the outside, settling for shots further out.

Once they get setup, how detrimental would it be to then pull the goalie and throw JVR out there to sit in the crease? Wouldn't the defense have to drop another player down low and leave a 3v1 between the circles?

There's an expected point value for going for it in the NFL on 4th down.
If the worst thing that can happen is you still get 1 point, how often would they get 2 points?

If you are on a PP and pull the goalie the opposition gets a free shot at an empty net from anywhere on the ice as icing would be null and void.

Yes, but you pull the goalie once you are set up.
With a 5 on 3 advantage, how likely is it that the defense will get an uncontested shot at the net?

And we are getting a point regardless of the outcome.
Is there a statistical advantage to increasing your odds of scoring a goal at 5v3 versus 4v3?

Like going for it on 4th down at the opponents 42 yard line in football.

If we could get two home victories this week it would really be nice.

We are already 4-1-1 at home why not two more wins this week .
