Color me unimpressed at this point. SF wins against TB, CIN, PIT, CLE and the hapless Lambs. If they play NE like they played today Gillette will need to make room for #7.

It'd probably be the only SB that was won 3-0 in overtime.

Despite the numbers I don't think either team's offenses have been really all that great and the 9ers defense is probably one of the worst match ups for the Pats.

The times Brady has struggled the most is usually against defenses that can get home quickly and often with their front 4 and drop everyone else into coverage which is what the 9ers can do.

But the Pats defense has been great against the run so far this year and that's what the 9ers offense is going to want to do.

It'd be an intriguing match up with Brady vs Jimmy G story line , two top tier defenses, and the whole Belichick vs Shanahan battle of the wits rematch.

For what it's worth, both the Pats and Niners have the worst strength of schedule so far this year (Ravens too). Those 3 teams are by far the worst (but only so far).

It sucks that it's been 24 years since the Niners won. We got really unlucky a couple times in the playoffs with Coach Harbaugh, but it is what it is. If the Warriors and Giants hadn't won 6 titles this decade, I'd be more broke up about my Niners.

Yeah, it's plain dumb luck that we didn't win a title in one of those years, but sports is an unpredictable place where luck plays a big role. Giants, Ravens, and Seahawks were deserving winners, though, and Seattle was really unlucky when they didn't win back to back titles.
