It's deep into the off-season, nothing happening

Why don't you say something interesting? Oh right, you can't.

Yep, both the college football and NFL seasons are in full swing and MLB is wrapping up pennant races and getting ready for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, it's the NBA off-season and pretty much any moves of any significance that were going to be made, already have been.

Now that Lebron's attempt to trademark "Taco Tuesday" has been shot down, about the only thing left is waiting to see if Iggy's gonna get bought out or not.

NBA players probably aren't even talking about the NBA right now. lol

I am shocked actually.

I thought Belicek would play him until the league forced his hand by putting him on commisioner’s exempt.

I guess he didn’t want to answer any more AB questions at his pressers.
BB's no saint....I'm sure if he felt he needed him he'd put up with the sideshow. But have to think they know they can win without him.

I don't. Someone will get desperate.Talent wins out.

Seems like if a team signs him, the NFL will then put him on exemption list, which means he’d still get paid.
I doubt a team is signing up for that.

I agree with @TurnUpTheHeat

The Pats do think they are a better football team without the distraction. You are right on that.

But I think he is done. At least for this year. With time, if he is proven innocent then maybe he gets another shot in the future. There is just too much bad press out there now.

Remember, NE signed him before any of the sexual misconduct stuff was out there.

If a team that signs him has to pay him and knows he'll be exempt I agree. Wont be until next year.

But we should not fool ourselves. Talent does win out. If Mahomes decided to take up Kap's cause he would not get released and he'd still get a huge extension.

If Ray Rice did what he did coming off his 2011 season he'd have played again.

Of course.

And while AB is still plenty good enough to start for any team in the NFL, there is a price that extends beyond the bad publicity. Dude might be the biggest locker room distraction I have ever seen. At least I can’t think of a worse locker room guy. There are probably some on the same level, but hard to be worse than what AB has been in the last 12 months.

Cancer + exemption risk + the bad press = no contract for AB. Prime AB might not be worth all that.

Ab definitely a nutjob and worse in a locker than the others.....but my guess is he plays next year.

The only reason i came back to this dead and dying board was to laugh at Bartman getting banned, he sent me a message crying about it at my other site...

Maybe stop banning people and there would be more than 3-4 posters here posting once every other hour lol

I'm inclined to agree. If he were an average receiver or old and at the end of his career, his playing days would be over.

But he is a multiple time all star who still plays at an all star level. Someone will decide that they can get through to him.

It may be a contract with lots of incentives and with language that gives the team an easy way out if they need it, but I think you're right and he plays next year.

i hate the Browns chances with the injuries they have incurred.

There whole secondary is hurt. Literally- their 4 starting defensive backs all might not play.

I would bet the over on this game.

Damarious Randall will miss a second consecutive game due to a concussion. The other listed starter at safety, Morgan Burnett, is questionable due to a quad injury. Rookie backup safety Sheldrick Redwine is also questionable with a hamstring injury. At cornerback, the Browns called up Robert Jackson from the practice squad as Ward and Williams both sat out practice Friday.

Greedy and Ward are both going to be limited-- Randall, their best DB, is out, and Burnett is also hurt.

If the Browns pass rush is not at an A+ level Goff is going to have a field day.
