We offered the QO which he declined. Did not wait and we needed a lead off guy. He did do us dirty by taking the suspension but who knows if that was a factor in us not offering a long term contract

It looks like Solak will still be a rookie next year unless he has a 5 AB games without having one with less than 4 AB. If he gets 4 AB in each of the last 9 games it will put him at exactly 130, which is the limit.

Yeah, you can put me in the camp of not wanting to re-sign Cruz.

It's incredibly easy to look at how he's performed and say we missed out, but anyone who says they knew he'd perform the way he has is completely full of shit.

I also agree with that 2nd statement... my biggest issue with Cruz was his propensity for getting injured.... but I totally would've signed him for anything he got later on
