You can’t turn your back on a defender and then claim you were “blocked in the back”.

Btw... I absolutely LOVE when you yourself post pictures that prove what you are saying is wrong. Hahaha. It’s priceless!!!

Why would he turn his back on a 325 pound guy running right at you. So essentially you are saying it was a block in the back.

Crickets...

In gridiron football, an ineligible receiver downfield, or an ineligible man downfield, is a penalty called against the offensive team when a forward pass is thrown while a player who is ineligible to receive a pass is beyond the line of scrimmage without blocking an opponent at the time of the pass.

Nope, I can post 3 penalties on that one play for you. Lineman 5 yards down field before the pass, both blocks were blocks in the back. But I’m not blaming the refs. I’m sure we will get breaks this year too.
The one that really hurt us was the Wentz 2 point conversion. He runs for the end zone dives in head first and the call it “QB giving himself up”. Jeez that was bad. Well if he did that why didn’t Atlanta get penalized for hitting him then. We would have been down 3 instead of 4 on that final drive.
The Agholor drop on such an easy catch plus other plays is why we lost though, but there was 3 penalties on Julio’s TD

Hey faggot, your hurt feelings and armchair refereeing mean jack shit. Sour grapes...eat them like you do dicks.

With one exception, on any given pass play only eligible receivers can cross the line of scrimmage before either A) a pass crosses the line, or B) a defender touches the ball. The exception is on a forward pass that doesn't cross the line of scrimmage (like a screen or shovel pass). On such a play, the linemen can cross the line and be on their merry ways.

Jones caught the ball BEHIND THE LOS.

You lose... again

I said I was wrong at first because I had the wrong LOS but now I know it was a penalty...

In (American) football, only the running backs and ends (but not offensive linemen) are supposed to (try to) catch passes.

Because of that fact, an offensive team can be penalized if its linemen are past the line of scrimmage, and not blocking someone. An important exception is the so-called "screen pass."

you forgot to include a piece (like normal) :nono:

Also, penalties have to be called to be penalties. Just because you're an asshurt cocksmoker that doesn't understand football is irrelevant yet hysterical.

The penalty is assessed if the ineligible player is more than 1 yard down field on a forward pass play unless he is blocking a player that initiated within the 1 yard buffer zone.
He wasnt more than one yard at time of the catch So even if you were wanting to argue it wasnt a screen.

Crickets from our resident idiot.

Just like last week when I exposed his nonsense about the Eagles only having 3 possessions during the first half of last weeks game.

Wikipedia?

SECTION 3 - INELIGIBLE PLAYER DOWNFIELD

ARTICLE 1. LEGAL AND ILLEGAL ACTS
On a scrimmage play during which a legal forward pass is thrown, an ineligible offensive player, including a T-formation quarterback, is not permitted to move more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage before the pass has been thrown.

Now watch the video.

Notice where Matthew's is when Ryan releases the ball.

You telling me he isnt past the line of scrimmage?

He was not downfield when the pass was thrown.

here is the NFL copy & pace

NFL - Article 8, Section 3
This covers ineligible player downfield.

Article 1: Legal and Illegal Acts.

On a scrimmage play during which a legal forward pass is thrown, an ineligible offensive player, including a T-formation quarterback, is not permitted to move more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage before the pass has been thrown.

So it doesnt have to be when it is caught but when it is thrown.
Face it. That lineman did an awesome job!

So now just say ok. Movin' on to your next thing!

Oh yeah. How does those crickets taste?

He most likely buried his head in his ass, since I already posted the rule per the NFL and attached a video showing Matthew's at the LOS when the pass was thrown.
He's all out of excuses.
