They didn't block early, they weren't too far downfield, and it wasn't a block in the back. it was a clean play all the way around. Trust me, SOMEONE in the booth would have said something if it were even close to a foul

Well you did.

You. "He blocked early."
Me. "No he didn't, Jones already caught the ball."
You. "Well then the lineman was to far down field."

I said you were right but I dont know now. I have the pics and you can see. But Im still not blaming the refs for the loss. We will get our fair share of bad calls through out the season too.

Penalty 1 Sanus block in the back

View attachment 216771
Potential penalty #2 The box around the guy in the middle of the field is where the LOS is. Matthews on Atlanta seems pretty far down field. Its close.

View attachment 216772

Penalty #3 Thats a complete and undeniable block in the back.
View attachment 216773

Foul one is Sanu spinning the guy away.
Foul 2 PROVES he wasn't downfield. You know the dark green area is the "to gain" area, right? The guy is just barely a yard into the dark green, meaning he is a yard from the LoS.
Foul 3 is just a pancake. You can't fall down and get a penalty when someone blocks you. Sorry.

At least 4 yards down field when the ball is caught

Thats not a block in the back? Seems pretty darn clear to me.

4th and 3, the guy is 2 yards behind the yellow line, and you think he is "4 yards down field"? For real?

I see your point on one and two but 3 I dont understand? "You cant fall down and get a penalty"? A 300 pound man running at you full steam and drives his shoulder pad in your back isnt a penalty? You cant block guys in the back.

You are right about the illegal man downfield. On the Eagles board they said the LOS is where the guys foot is in the middle of the picture so you are right and Im wrong.

And Im not really calling that a pancake. A 325 pound guy barreling down fiel like a run away frieght train and drives his shoulder pad into a 190 pound mans back isnt a pancake.

if it is 4th & 3 & the yellow line represents 3 yards from line of scrimmage & everyone is short of the yellow line. How can any of them be 4 yards down field?

post it all you want, you are wrong.

Wait... I said you were right but I just read this...

In gridiron football, an ineligible receiver downfield, or an ineligible man downfield, is a penalty called against the offensive team when a forward pass is thrown while a player who is ineligible to receive a pass is beyond the line of scrimmage without blocking an opponent at the time of the pass.

Your pic shows 3 yards, but 3 or 4 doesn't matter as both are under 5.

You can’t turn your back on a defender and then claim you were “blocked in the back”.

Btw... I absolutely LOVE when you yourself post pictures that prove what you are saying is wrong. Hahaha. It’s priceless!!!

I said I was wrong at first because I had the wrong LOS but now I know it was a penalty...
