Antonio Brown won't be placed on commissioner's list and will be eligible to play for Patriots

The NFL decided against placing Brown on the commissioner's exempt list because no criminal charges have been filed in the case, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports.

The Patriots are rarely blindside by anything, which led some to wonder how they ended up signing Brown without knowing that he had a lawsuit hanging over his head. As it turns out, Brown's camp knew for months that the lawsuit was coming, but they didn't tell the Patriots (or the Raiders) because they apparently made an agreement with Taylor's camp not to talk about the case.

According to ESPN.com, the two sides had been engaged in discussions about the case over the past few months with the understanding that all conversations would remain confidential. If Brown's camp had revealed to the Patriots that a lawsuit was coming, that would have been a breach of the agreement. According to ESPN, it's not clear what the two sides were discussing in these confidential meetings, but it's possible they had initial talks about making some sort of settlement, talks that presumably went nowhere since Taylor ended up filing the lawsuit.

Next I can't believe people are still questioning accusers simply because they wait years to come forward. We have heard from a hundred women who have stated that they wait because they were not ready to come forward, to relive the incident, to face the backlash. It's the reason many never come forward. Waiting hardly means they are lying

I think the text messages alone reveal a lot, as if it wasn't clear before. I have no idea if this story is true or not, but the reasons given to question here are a bit unfair. Why would she return after the earlier incididents? Well she knew him for a long time and for a personal trainer to have him on her client list is great for business. well the difference here. (allegedly I mean none of us know the truth yet) is she kept going back to him. it took being raped the 3rd time before she said I am tired of this shit. Also not quite like an employer/employee scenario, because she had already left & then came back to him. Now I am sure he was a dick to her & she might be thinking oh yeah, watch this, but if she was truly raped. She is her own worst enemy by the choices she made after the alleged facts. To me. the stuff the Lawyer said should able to easily be found to be true or false. If found true. Dont think she will have a case at all.
I do know of women that have been raped so I am sympathetic to women waiting a long time before coming forward, but on the flip side. Woman that take advantage of men for revenge or gold digging, make it extremely more difficult for woman that have actually been raped & waited to come forward.

If it turns out she was raped he should go to prison, not pay a fine, but if he didnt r*pe her, she should go to jail.

Wow, I wonder how many months "Brown's camp" knew the lawsuit was coming. To me that makes the whole narrative about the timing of the suit being filed even less relevant.

2. A step dad that that was not to much of a role model making claims at age 12 he knew AB was trouble.

3. As I said I am not a fan of the Pats signing him, does he make the team a bigger threat to win it all? Yes! Was it done solely for that purpose and not to help him straighten up? Yes! Do I think AB is a complete ass? Yes! Do I personally feel AB is capable of these actions? Yes. Does any of that matter? No! Allegations are not proof of guilt, so until he is proven guilty IMO he should be viewed as innocent it's the premise of our legal system.
