It's the full blue uniform against the blue field. It makes it tough to distinguish players from the field. It's not the color, as blue is soothing. It's a color superimposed against the same or similar color. I like the field in and of itself.
for all the games I have watched i have never had an issue. the quarterback is still able to find his receivers. I have never once walked into a room with light brown floors and wondered why there were so many legless people there only to find out they were wearing khaki pants.

Come on, man. Who wants to look at a field that's the color of a baboon's ass?

people keep saying the other schools will leave. While USC might be the flag ship program 8 vs 4 pretty sure the california schools are the ones seeing the door not the other way.

You can call it what ya like, it’s virtually the same thing. My main point is there is no way on Gods green earth these other schools would be in the same conference as the California schools if they aren’t able to pay recruits like california schools would be.

Idk about the other FL schools. But UCF is committed to providing the best to our Student Athletes. I'm stoked about our players getting properly compensated for their efforts.

Great news!

Players should be treated like us honors students. We got PAID internships and tons of cash in scholarships. Because we both add value to the university. That why at UCF, both honors students and Students athletes are in the Tower 1 apartments.

so your argument is that if Oregon or Washington arent going into California to play in front of California kids and families that those kids will look to other schools farther away who also arent going to California to play in front of these kids and their families?
Yes of course.

You don't think every team in the Pac not in California benefits from their yearly trips there? Then why was that the biggest sticking point before the schools would sign off on adding 2 and going to 12? It is the combination of relationships with HS coaches there and being able to visit and play in front of them that has them on the same lists with bama, Ohio state, oky, etc.

You honestly don't believe even one kid changes and goes with one of those other schools without those extra relationships? Come on man. I get this from AG who lets politics cloud his judgement, but what's your excuse?

Oregon's "brand" is not going to carry every recruit you have now without the extra attention from those road trips.

Yeah, so eat me. I don't care enough about it to argue. I really couldn't care less if the Pac-12 imploded or exploded. :2cents:
There's nothing to argue. I was just pointing out the fact that it was Texas Tech which is a publicly funded state school that was going to join the PAC along with Texas and not Baylor which is a small private religious school .

what im asking is why would those kids switch then to Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida who are also not taking trips to California.

California should just make a minor league for college age athletes. Keep them seperate from the universities .. as in they don't attend. It could be something like the XFL.

I'm sorta torn on players getting paid, do I think the student athlete who makes millions for his university should get something if the university, TV networks use their likeness to sell their product? Yeah, probably do. As I think what those student athletes do for their respected schools and now sometimes even their entire conference is far more than JUST a free college education.

However, I think what needs to happen if they decide to allow players to make money off their likeness, etc. is have like an account that the player will have access to after they graduate or leave school. And maybe this is only my concern, but the reason I wouldn't want players getting paid hundreds of thousands or millions and having access to it right away is I don't want it to become about me, me, me. You look at the NFL and the Antonio Brown's and OBJ's of the league, and I don't want to hear the drama that these "Contracts" create. I don't want to hear about an Alabama player having an entire week of news dedicated to them on whether or not they are going to wear a 250k watch at their next game.

Also what would that do for the transfer portal? Suddenly you really almost have contracts. Player 1 currently at UCLA, but knows they can get more money if they go to USC, so player 1 now transfers?

I think eventually college sports will go the way of having student athletes getting compensated in some way for making so much money for their schools, but I think California, as usual, made some sort of knee jerk reaction not thinking how to properly work and iron this all out.

More likely Pac would bring over a couple and maintain P5 status than the way you outlined.

You may end up being right, there would be a question of who would hold the claim to the PAC name or if both sides would have to find new names. I suspect that battle would end up in a courtroom to be settled.
