PF is their weakness position. Carmelo is better than every PF on the rsoter.

If they sign him, perhaps a non-guaranteed contract like the Lakers gave Howard. Then if he doesn't work out, they can cut him lose and walk away

Melo can still put the ball in the basket. So, if he's willing to accept that, at best, he's the 3rd option, it could work.

They're going to have to figure out how to hide him on defense though.

It looks like the Nets having a deal as to trade Dinwiddie to the Bucks for Ilyasova + smth makes perfect sense for both sides...

The Nets find exactly what they need on Ilyasova to fill their (huge) hole in the roster and the Bucks can move Hill on the starting roster as to replace Brogdon's thing and add Dinwiddie for depth...

Ilyasova sounds perfect for the Nets to add... It will cost them Dinwiddie, but they end up with a better roster.

Melo is a real good passer, and he can also set screens out on the perimeter to get the matchup advantages for some of their other scorers.....Plus he's still good enough to give them 8-12 pts and 4 or 5 boards a night.

But who knows what they'll do...or even if he'll accept a lesser role. He should though at this point. I'm sure he doesn't want to finish his career in China, or some other oversees league.
