I was thinking about the same thing, but I didn't get a chance to draft him. I guess Nos should be the one to field this, but I have no issue using him at both. It will be tough to predict how effective he would be as a pitcher coming off the injury, but that's the chance you take.Need clarification, but I'd like everyone's input on this as well. I planned to use Ohtani as both a DH and SP on my team. If anyone has any objections, let me know. We've really never seen another player with the ability to do this outside of Ruth, so I wanted to get clarification first.
I know it's a small sample size, but he started 10 games last season, going 4-2 with a 3.31 era, 1.161 WHIP and 11.0 SO/9. Seems like he'll probably be given more opportunities to pitch in the future. Also one of Ohtani's biggest things in coming over from Japan was that he was adamant about wanting to both pitch and hit. That was the reason he chose the Angels in that he could be a DH and Pitch, over a team like the Giants who were also in pursuit.
One other thing, just started a new job today and I will not be able to be online other than maybe a couple minutes a day between like 7:00am & 7:00pm so I may have to step aside and allow someone else to run things.
I can still do things on weekends and after 7:00pm but I don't think I should put you guys through not updating everything during the day...
