Very talented . But is this dude ever going to be trustworthy to be consistently healthy ? I just don't see it. When he's healthy he's great but if you're the Colts at what point do you start hedging your bet ?

Maybe . Talent is great but it doesn't do you any good sitting on the sidelines . If he misses a substantial part of this year ( from the calf or anything else ) I think you've got to strongly consider looking at other options . Guys dont generally become less injury prone with age

I agree that luck is hurt alot. But when he is healthy is one hell of a qb. So I guess you need to take the good with the bad when it comes to him. But as moving on from him I don’t think they should at all. Everything he can offer this team when healthy outweighs the bad.

Sure but it's not just about this injury . He's injury prone and appears to be a slow healer on top of that

Matthew Stafford was a China doll his first few seasons, but he has mostly avoided injury since then.

His annual cap hit, though, guarantees that the Lions will not be a threat.

Maybe he will get injured in 2020 and the Colts fall backwards into the top pick again and get Trevor Lawrence. Then proceed to again greatly underpform in winning championships with a generational QB.

Exactly. People always talk about why this or that QB as if they have options. Are you supposed to stick with Andrew Luck and trade for a better top notch QB? What other choice do they have?

I have been living this scenario for decades as a Cardinal fan. Everybody has all the answers without actually having an answer.
