I don't know if I would read too much into this just yet. Wait and see if he is healthy when the season starts. I think his earlier injuries can be attributed to getting pounded in his first few years because A) the Colts did nothing to protect him and B) he took a lot of unnecessary hits trying to do too much. Actually, B is a little like that other young QB that's been mentioned in this thread.
I think the new regiem in Indy has righted the protection issue pretty well. Andrew was kept pretty clean last season and had no issues. We will see but this kid is a really good QB. He also appears to have a solid running game to help and a pretty damn smart offensive minded coach, imo.

Maybe . Talent is great but it doesn't do you any good sitting on the sidelines . If he misses a substantial part of this year ( from the calf or anything else ) I think you've got to strongly consider looking at other options . Guys dont generally become less injury prone with age

If he wins Indy a SB before his contract is up in 2020, no doubt he is in Indy his entire career. (at least until he is in his late 30's like Manning)

If Indy doesn't at least get to a SB in these next 3 years...who knows.

Btw... out of 96 possible games he could have played, he has started and played in 86. That isn't including 2017. So he had 2 injuries within 2 years, that can scare some people no doubt but he is still one of the best QB's and seems to be healthy right now, also coming off his best season of his career at 29.

Based on what I have read, he is fine. They are just taking it super easy with him due to his past history of trying to play through things he probably should not have played through. This time, I think Luck himself is basically saying, let me take as long as needed in the offseason to let this thing heal on its own.

Luck has a cannon arm and could play on a torn calf if he had to, and still make all the throws, behind that emerging offensive line. Plus, Reich has wisely given him a lot of easier short and mid term throws rather than just relying on him to throw deeper patterns that take longer to develop.

Luck is going to be just fine IMO. Maybe even Super Bowl champ fine. Don't sleep on that Colts team.
