I get that you want to root for the guy, but every thing you've said about Derrick Henry the same is true about Conner the guy has 4 good games under his belt and those are a product of the Steelers line more than they are him. He's an okay power back with solid hands(Hillis, Asiata clone). His TD stats are inflated because he got a ton of goalline looks Juju got stopped at the goalline 5 times and Conner got the benefit everytime.
Two things im not pumping conner to be a mosnter and lead the league in rushing, second conners box score has more than 4 good games. Thers alot more serviceable games here than henry......and so waht? henry didnt get chances?

conner.PNG
I see games of combined:
192 yards
95 yards
185 yards
129 yards
212 yards
163 yards
73 yards(still serviceable at 5.2 Yard per touch)
95 yards
74 yards(4+Yards per touch
94 yards

so lets say 8 games at 90 + yards out of the 13 he played in, 10 what i wuld call more than serviceable games,

henry.PNG

so MAYBE 6 games that are "serviceable" if you count weeks 5 and 9 that arent too exciting.....

obviously 13-16 are great..........

I dunno, one looks alot better to me

I think theres much more reason to be excited about Henry than there is Conner...just me though. :)
id be curious, looking at the box scores i posted below, and the number of games each had fairly decent games, how thers more to be excited about? especially when one has more of a history of disappointment. You again may be right.

and @Stomp to say conner isnt the best back on his team. And to say a guy who wasnt even a RB in college, is better than conner is odd at best.

Samuels was listed as a tight end in college.

his freshman year he had 14 total carries in 11 games
His sophmore year he had 56 carries in 13 games
His junior year he had 31 attempts in 13 games
His senior year he had 78 attempts in 13 games

so 182 attempts in 4 years. A stellar RB gets an avg of 3.64 carries per game! You would think the coaches would know something.
He also had 201 catches........very good receiver

so counting all of college, and his pro career he has ad 4 total games with 10+ rushes in a game. But im to believe hes better than conner?

by all means, im waiting for some analysis over the surface stats

Cuz it isnt just box scores vs box scores, the situations are ENTIRELY different, and I hate Conners' situation, I don't buy the Steelers offense without Brown, I don't buy Juju without Brown, I don't buy Conner himself, and Samuels/Snell are bigger issues than Lewis..simple as that

ok and were talking about an offense with mariota, no wr's, and mediocre line........so what am i missing here. Again how and why are you getting that samuels and snell are issues

TN OL is a good run blocking unit, but just average at best overall.

And the drafting community as a whole clearly favors Conner (ADP 1.11) over Henry (3.12)

Have them both in 1 dynasty and Conner in another, so I'm a fan of both RBs, especially when it comes to other RBs around their respective ADPs

The players and coaches themselves for one, that's where.
And, I have no clue what Pittsburgh can or will do without Brown. I havee seen what Tennessee CAN do, the very same Tennessee team they have this year can do, when committed to Henry..that's a very easy call

And the drafting community as a whole clearly favors Conner (ADP 1.11) over Henry (3.12)

That right there..HUGE reason why I would forego Conner, and target Henry.

THat argument i can buy from a fantasy ADP perspective. Im on board. But Henry and Tenn CAN do that 4 out of 16 times. Conner also could do that. But yes from an ADP perspective i 100% get it. But from a non-fantasy perspective. From a pure football standpoint. From a pure which guy would you want to win games.......

The players and coaches from pgh have by no means said that snell and samuels are a threat. All words out of camp are conners backfield, conner is the bell cow.......

The one thing Connor (besides QB play) has over Henry IMO is the Steelers are fer sure committed to Connor. I think (and really hope) tTitans are committed to Henry like they were the last 5-6 games last year. If that is the fact, barring injury I would take Henry over Conner. That's just my feeling on the matter. If tTitans start out like they did at the beginning of last year and rotate he and Lewis Henry will prolly be as worthless as he was the first half of last year. That said, I'm putting my money on Henry this year...............May God Have Mercy on My Soul

yeah i forget sometimes on this board that its not the nfl board, so sorry about that too @TREFF . But others have legit suggested OVERALL that conner is not his teams best RB.

COnner also is used in the passing game. I dont think anyone can keep up henry's production in those 4 games, but even with a regression to the norm, it would be an epic season if thats what he can continue

hes gonna go somewhere, but not screw anything up, pure back up and speculation.

Well we all know he won't continue that pace.............lol. But if he can improve the shitty games he had into good games and the stupid good games go backwards into just really good games Henry ends up top 10. Let's not forget he only out touched Lewis by 16 touches last year (240 to 214) and only out carried the "3rd down back" by 60 carries. Now if that shit happens again Henry will be a wasted pick fer me in the one league I have him in (and where I draft in the other leagues I'm in I won't own him there) and a wasted keeper fer me in the league I'm (prolly) gonna keep him in.

Well the 'Niner's seem to be short of RB's..............or the Pats.........that would be fucking awesome!

Lol Sammy, it would be awesome just for the fantasy chaos it might create for anyone invested in the 'Niners and Pats RBs! :)

I've seen numerous qoutes, Samuels is gonna do thus, he's gonna do that, Conner is gonna share the load, Snell looks great..yada, yada, yada, some of which you yourself posted. Sure theres always contradictions later that week or next week, assuring everyone that its all Conners, but it sounds more like damage control to me. I didnt say they were a threat per say, I said more of a threat than that ridiculous Dion Lewis. How much more, I dunno, haven't seen enough of em, but have seen enough of Dion Lewis that if they go to that style of run game, and stick with, that he's nothing more than a COP/pass catching back

Let the hype begin! :D:D:D

The Athletic's Aaron Reiss said Texans RB Damarea Crockett "has positioned himself as the current roster’s most natural replacement for the role [D'onta] Foreman could’ve had."

There's little competition behind Lamar Miller, so Crockett (5'10/225) has a chance to make a name for himself as an undrafted free agent. At Missouri, Crockett averaged 5.9 yards per carry, and he showed 4.40 speed with a 37-inch vertical during pre-draft workouts. The size-speed runner has some sleeper appeal if the Texans don't add a quality veteran to the depth chart.

My money is on "Mr. Outside hire", in the instance, otherwise known as Jay Ajayi.
