Not what Coach Saban said at media day today. In fact he said quite the reverse. More conference games equals bigger conference match ups and a higher competition level. Ie Bama/UGA etc....Less conference games dilutes everything from actual team quality down to 6-6 back in bowl games. Did you watch SEC SEC media day today? Saban’s right gotta respect his stance on the topic.

Saban can say whatever he wants...doesn't change the fact that a 7 game conference schedule and double dipping in the FCS pool would give us a similar SOS to USC most years...before you started swimming in the FCS Pool, we might have to play 3 now.

Remember that time USC finished with a higher SOS than a Saban led Alabama team...yeah, nobody else does either. The Pac-12 used to be USC and the eleven dwarfs, now it's just 12 dwarfs.
How you know SOS formula is hogwash.....
Play three trucking schools and everyone in your conference not play each other so you all have an extra win (make sure its a Citadel or Mercer type) and still brag about your SOS.lol

Now that would be hilarious.

Hey @TheRobotDevil could you put something together like that? You're the one that also made that Jimmy Jam jumping out the plane one I just posted.
I’m sure I can do something with that.

SC may need some jimmy jam 2% milk to go with the cupcakes now tho

Ahh yes, welcome the dumbass as he blunders in spewing his nonsense about how playing trucking schools improves your SOS...

And 2/3rds of your conference is already playing an FCS game already. You are conveniently ignoring that.

The SEC teams play one less regular season P5 opponent than the PAC teams on average. Try again.

When playing on a 9 game conference schedule. An extra loss is distributed throughout conference records. The 9-8 conference differential effects multiple levels from W/L records, to rankings, to bowl eligibility...,,Or we can use the generic 8 game conference rhetoric ride the conference “the PAC beats itself up”......

Under the play off selection process conferences are pretty much useless anyway. Really no point in conference championship games. Divisions are useless when conferences bypass meaningful cross conference games ie Bama Georgia. And play off teams and rankings are decided off the field. He’ll ND doesn’t even have a conference.

All conferences have their Rutgers,Arkansas,Kansas,etc.....

The PAC may be in a down cycle but the ACC is the weakest. Which is visible basically a cakewalk for Clemson.

Lol. Nice try at deflection. You made a blanket opinion that you tried to pass off as an indisputable fact. I asked you to back up your statement and all you provided was 1 person who sits 30 feet from you. I haven't even said if I agree or not. I just asked you to back up what you said. And now you're trying to save face because you can't.
Thats nothing try working 30 feet from a guy complaining about still using windows 95 all day :gaah:

Then stop the fucking bitching about FCS games. You cry babies keep pissing all over yourselves over games that you are playing every year. You obviously have no problem with playing FCS team.

Yeah, you're right, how could I doubt Eastern Washington, BYU and Hawaii, along with a Charmin' soft Pac-12 schedule...

That is so much better than Georgia State, BYU, UAB and Chattanooga....and an SEC slate that includes Alabama, Florida and Georgia...teams that all finished ahead of Washington last year, hell, fucking Kentucky finished ahead of Washington last year. Meanwhile Washington plays one team that finished in the AP top 25...you go girl, fierce.

You know how Pac-12 teams avoid playing good teams...by playing 9 Pac-12 teams....We could play 5 conference games and still have a better chance of playing a quality opponent.

This is Tennessee's weakest OOC schedule in a while and we probably need one since we have fallen from grace. We typically play people like Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, Cal, West Virginia, Va Tech, Georgia Tech, etc.

You had those 3-4 years with Chip Kelly and Oregon where they had the gimmick offense and were dominate but you are right, it was primarily Pete Carroll and USC. I remember one year, every team in the Pac12 minus USC lost at least one OOC game (usually against mid-majors).

BTW if you want to see a tough schedule, check out the South Carolina Gamecocks (the other USC):

8/31: North Carolina (in Charlotte)
9/7: Charleston Southern
9/14: Alabama
9/21: Missouri
9/28: Kentucky
10/12: @ Georgia
10/19: Florida
10/26: @ Tennessee
11/02: Vanderbilt
11/09: Appalachian State
11/16: @ Texas A&M
11/30: Clemson

They play Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia (arguably three best teams going into the season) as well as up and coming Florida and Texas A&M teams. Missouri won't be a pushover. The game @ Tennessee is a trap game for them. Appie State could also be a trap game. The Missouri game won't be easy. Find a team with a more daunting schedule. I don't see one.

USC finished with a better SOS than Alabama in 2017, 2013, 2012, 2010, 2008, and 2007.

Note that this includes all postseason games as well. If the postseason games were excluded, the scales would tip in USCs favor considerably more.

Also...Stanford has a tougher schedule this year.
