I got no problem w/ that. Actually a bit disappointed they pick an FCS team up. Wish all FBS teams would stop playing cupcake FCS teams.
I wish there were fewer games between FCS & FBS teams. I wouldn't want them to go away completely, because I know some of those FCS schools rely on the income to help keep their programs afloat. I wish the Power-5 leagues would institute a policy that would prevent their teams from scheduling FCS teams in consecutive seasons. That would be a good start.

Quote the opposite actually. I would love to knock Washington.Tbh I have no idea why one would focus on Washington’s history. To the point they need to shift 20 goal posts. And claim something as fact with a nonsense formula. In a thread about SC’s history. In regards to playing an FCS team for the first time .....
There was no shift in the goal posts. They haven’t beaten a ranked OOC opponent in the regular season in 17 years. They have beaten one ranked OOC opponent in 17 years. Only you were doing mental gymnastics to try and “prove” that they actually beat another team when it was proven they weren’t ranked you continue to bang the PAC12 drum because you want to troll.

They are always bragging about how they don't stoop to the SEC level of scheduling FCS, first off. Mean while, the rest of the PAC does.
And if you don't think they're the most arrogant fan base in the country, you don't know any alumni.

Oh I've met USC alums when I lived in Vegas. And I agree w/ you. Some of the fans I met while living there had a very false sense of superiority.

Now I don't wanna dump on meeeechegan (even though they always deserve it) but some of their fanbase are outright delusional. Going as far as saying they're an elite top 3 program right now because of Jim Harbaugh & their Natty's. They split a title in '97. Their last outright Natty was 1948. Yet some of their crazy-ass fans still take great pride in those Natty's they won 100+ years ago. My bad, rant over.:heh:

Good point about the revenue for those smaller programs. But playing teams like that every other year would be a great start.

Boise did also finish ranked EOY in 2007. Roll tide stated no counting bowl games so that would mean no rankings based on bowl results by his standard.

I was not counting bowl teams because they weren't a scheduled game...hence being schedule pussies. EOY means after the bowl games, so no, they were not ranked EOY.

Than bowl games would not be excluded and Washington’s definitely beaten a EOY ranked team well within 17 years. If bowls aren’t being counted EOY is end of the regular season not the end of Bowl season. I’m using the formula given

No you are not, EOY has always been EOY, not Pre-Bowl end of year. EOY is EOY, not end of regular season.

The only EOY ranked OOC team Washington has beaten in almost 18 years is 2010 Nebraska...which they needed a do-over to do...because Nebraska beat them that year during the regular season 56-21.

Hell, they've lost more bowl games than they've won in the last 18 years, and they've only played in 9..going 3-6 with wins over Southern Miss, BYU and the previously mentioned Nebraska team.

LOL, that I'm the one getting called out for nut-swinging in this thread, y'all are a bunch of fucking Pac-12 Tarzans

My bad. No Bama didn’t play an OOC ranked opponent last season.

No, we sure didn't, but the empirical evidence would suggest if we did we would have a better shot of beating them than Washington, you know, since we aren't in an 18 year drought and all. Based on our regular season results against ranked Pac-12 teams, we should probably dip into that well more often.

My argument is if you schedule Minn or Boston College or Syracuse five for six years ahead then there is a chance they could be decent by then or at least have some NFL players at key spots. But if you schedule Citadel, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga or Towsend there's no chance you will find a heartbeat ever.
Not happy about this scheduling and it either wont happen or no one will show and force them to never do it again. How a team can schedule two of these kinda teams every and their fan base be ok with it is beyond me. Better things to do (at least here) than watch and spend money on that kinda game.
This is what puzzles me the most. Guess some fans are so devoted they are willing to watch their favorite team play ANY opponent.

Lol, you are the one that keeps moving the goal posts to pretend you found some team that fits some criteria you made up. If it makes you feel better that Washington beat some 8-5 Boise State team that was ranked some time during the season, good for you. The rest of us know that Washington's record against ranked OOC opponents is shit.

Well, in 2007 Boise State was 10-3 but did lose their last two games.

Yeah, my bad, I should have clarified I was talking about the 2013 team he originally referenced...the one that was #19 when they played and then never ranked again.

I can't speak for all fbs team, but it's a lot for one that should be good.
Yup, just wondering if it's abnormal.

Also, UW has been good for like 3 years so don't pump it up for argument's sake.

Clearly that's not the case, you would think 6520 days would be embarrassing enough for you and your conference mates.
