Brooklyn is in NY

Toronto entire team was built through the draft and they added Kawhi lol

Miami entire team was built through wade and they added Lebron and Bosh

Cavs entire team was built around Irving and they added Lebron and Love...You do realize we traded for like half our team right? We added more players than the raptors through free agency lol

GS entire team was built through the draft with Curry, Green, Thompson and they added Durant

I get that you are bitter but this is a weirrd angle

LOL.

Dude. You don’t get it.

Miami is in the group with NY and LA. And no. Saying their entire team was built through Wade is ignorant. No Shaq trade, no first title. And everyone else came via free agency. They could of just as easily chosen to team up in another city. You get why they picked Miami right? It was not just because of Wade.

As for Toronto,

They traded for Leonard, Ibaka, Green, Gasol, Powell and Lowry

They did draft Siakam at pick 27

Van Vleet was an undrafted FA

They also drafted Onouby, who was hurt

So, 2 players from their rotation were drafted and 1 of those barely saw the court in the playoffs.

Do you think before you type?

Maybe he thinks we kept all the pieces we drafted or something? I don't recall Smith or shumpert or mozgov or james jones or mike miller or Love being drafted by us tho...I will have to double check

Our team wasn't really built through the draft. We ended up with Irving and an entirely different team...Building through the draft isn't a knock. It worked great for GS. Sometimes just slapping players together doesn't work very well. See the lakers lol

@tlance

Seriously?

What I have said specifically is that some markets don’t have to build through the draft.

Some markets.

Obviously Cleveland is not that. Most teams are not that.

And you can’t call anyone’s arguments bizarre Mr. “Kyrie is Bette than Curry”

Watched almost every Westbrook game he has played. It’s no secret he is not a guy that sticks around after games to shake hands. Last few years there is one person he usually sticks around for and that’s Harden. Don’t know why but he does.

Kyrie and Durant in BKLYN seems more appealing to me over the past few weeks...

It's the way of the gun now.

As ironic as it seems, the Warriors are now the most organic team left in the NBA.

It's the apotheosis of what LeBron started when he recruited the superteam in Miami

Listen, I'm fully aware that GS had injuries, and I'm not bashing them. But GS still had a talented squad, even with Klay missing game 3/4 and the 4th quarter of game 6. And I said technicality on counting Boogie as an all-star.

Doesn't that mean 'technicality' Iguodala is an allstar too?

I mean, just based on style of play, Butler and Paul would mesh well.

Butler would probably have to beat the breaks off his snippy ass by mid Season.

But, if Paul wasn't chronically broken, they'd fit well.

He was drafted by the Bucks and traded to the Raptors along with the pick that became Anunoby

Never played for the Bucks.
The trade happened on draft day. The Bucks we're drafting for the Raptors and you know it

Oh man....

Please, send Cp3 to Detroit.

To play with Blake or in exchange for him, either would be comedy GOLD.

With the exception of LA and NY every other team has to build through the draft. Which teams haven't built their teams through the draft outside of LA? Did GS? Cavs? Toronto? Boston? You Wizards? Mill? 76ers?

Yes, GS did. Won a title with their primary 3 players all drafted. Had a lot of luck there (like all champions do)

Maybe so.

Still, you claimed Powell was drafted by the Raptors.

He was not.

And even if he were,

Most of their key players were acquired via trade well after draft day. And these clowns are trying to claim the Raptors championship team was “built through the draft”.

BS.

They drafted a nice core that was good enough to win.

Then they upgraded those pieces via trade.

Former (and reunited) teammates, obviously

I understand both sides of this argument but if the Raptors didn't draft so well they wouldn't have the pieces to trade for what they got

I agree with that.

But they also say the draft is the only way to build a contending team.

That is true in most markets. I would say Toronto is probably one of them.

Miami is not.

So it's been exactly 10 years since LeBron started the players taking over thing, recruiting Bosh to join him in Miami with a star already waiting. In 10 years we have this offseason. And come on, this offseason fucking rocks.

Isn't it common sense to say you need to draft well, trade well, and sign FAs well? At least 2 out of 3...

And of course you need luck.
