after going to the Finals for 4 straight years its gonna be the motto for 2-3 years. But after that the expectations will again rise.

all the while the Heat languish in NBA purgatory- bottom half of the East with no real chance- the worst place you can be in the NBA.

Yeah, I remember Cleveland being a great place when you guys lost 27-straight games the year after Lebron left.

What expectations will rise?
What is your predicted, prediction ceiling the next 3 seasons.

You won 19 last this, you will win ? this year? ? The following year, then ? the year after that.

Lets say you improve 8 games each season, which is probably NOT going to happen.

That would put you 43 wins, exactly where you say the worst place to be is.

Jordan Poole looks like he's a bucket getter of the highest order. Dude can hoop. I think it'll be his shot selection that will need some harnessing, but with our last few seasons of having gun shy backup wings I'm optimistic.

Warriors look like they're going into the season with:

PG: Curry
SG: Russell
SF: Burks
PF: Draymond
C: Looney

Bench:
McKinney
Poole
WCS
Robinson
Evans
Paschall
Smailagic
Spellman
Klay - IR

Two-Way: Ky Bowman

That's good for 44-47 wins

Can't see GS making the playoffs with that group.

LOLouder @WiggityWack rooting for them to bottom out like it's some sort of master plan... :pound::pound::pound::pound:
its exactly what it is i just hope the Cavs draft a LOT better than Russell, Ingram, Ball when they get their high picks thats for damn sure- and do a better job of signing guys than Deng and Mozgov and KCP.

After 7 years without a playoff win the Lakers have a Big 2 and some of the least draft assets in the league going forward. To be so bad for so long in that market is pretty pathetic, but again, endemic of their ownership/management.

Worst management/ownership groups in the league:

1. Wizards
2. Suns
3. Knicks
4. Lakers
5. prob. going Chicago--- maybe Minnesota.

Seriously. I've never in my life seen a fan want his team to suck so that they'll grab all of these lotto picks. Lotto picks that are usually guys whom are 19 years old and no one knows what they'll turn out to be in the NBA.

I'll take my team making a conscientous effort in trying to win and not laying down. I've seen my team win 3 titles. I saw the late 90's rivalries with the Knicks, to putting a competitive roster post-Jordan only it to be doomed by Zo's kidney disease, leading to Wade getting drafted and winning our 1st title up to the Lebron years in Miami. But I'm thankful I never seen my team just flat out bottom out. I've been watching that in baseball with the Marlins and know there's no end in sight because management is just shit.

If Miami's going to be a middling playoff team as a worst case scenario, I'm good. Wiggy trying to mock Heat fans for that is beyond ironic and just plain pathetic.

they better not make the playoffs this year- they need to finish bottom 10 to keep their pick.

The defense is going to be ATROCIOUS, but the offense should be pretty good.

A 19 an 20 year old in the back court that are both kind of undersized is NOT a good defensive combination--- young guys rarely know how to play D as it is.

offensively its gonna be interesting though with Love, Sexton and Garland....Wyndler looks like he could be an interesting floor spreader.....Osman had his moments last year.

There rebounding should be pretty good too one would think

itll be fun. Dont get me wrong- id take the stress and expectations of the LeBron years any day of the week

but there is something to be said for having no expectations and seeing a bunch of young kids go out there and try and figure it out.

Maybe in a rec YMCA league, but the NBA is for big boys trying to win basketball games.

Its just crazy the mentality of losers, and how they justify it as a good thing.

itll be fun to see just how good Curry is.

If Curry is an all time great worthy of being a top 20 guy....or if he is just a great player in his own era. We should get a good idea this year just how much he can put a team on his back. itll be fun.

is "poole" this years mccaw/bell, etc.?

Not from what I've seen. Well it's also different circumstances because McCaw and Bell were "luxury" pieces, whereas Poole is going to have to be thrown into the fire. Kerr will be forced to play him and he'll be given a MUCH longer leash than either of those other two players.

We've all seen that circumstances also play a huge factor in development. But the biggest thing is that his game from the start has been one of a scorer. McCaw and Bell didn't really have a role. They were kind of fit in guys. Athletic 4/5 who needed to find out where he fit. McCaw, we weren't sure if he was a 1, 2 or 3. He had a bunch of different skillsets, but no one in particular was really that strong. They wanted him to mold his game after Iguodala and be his successor. Poole is different. Dude is a legitimately skilled wing with ball handling ability and scoring ability. He's also not shy about taking and making big shots as we've seen in college.

Much different scenarios, imo. That's my honest assessment, but wasn't sure if you were trolling me or not, lol.

the last 3 years the Heat have played some of the most boring excruciating basketball that can be played and really dont have dick to show for it.

Id MUCH MUCH MUCH rather be the Grizzlies with JJJ and Morant and co. At least they have hope of making noise someday- instead of having a limited ceiling and no real hope of winning anything substantial like the Heat.

I mean we should see a lot of doubles kind like how Lillard was doubled against GS but you really have to be a pretty good defensive team to pull it off. I think he will take a lot of shots and make a lot of shots. Probably average in the 30's-maybe mid 30's. We will see how Russell fits, if he can bring the offense close to where Klay is then they could get a 5 or 6, if not, could be a struggle. They don't have many scoring options. Maybe we see Draymond be more willing to score now.

Most likely. I figure the Warriors will contend for the 7th and 8th seeds, barring something crazy happening. If Klay comes back healthy early enough to get his feet under him for the playoffs I don't think its outside the realm of possibility of the Warriors going to the 2nd round.

Can't see GS making the playoffs with that group.

I think there are legitimately 6 teams that are for sure better than the Warriors:

Lakers
Clippers
Nuggets
Rockets
Jazz
Blazers

After that I think it's a crap shoot. Mavericks could be interesting but also Porzingas hasn't played in almost a year and a half. Kings? They didn't really do much in the off-season to have me improve their position. Thunder I'd say fell out. Spurs and T-Wolves are both interesting and I think will contend for a playoff spot as well. But do you really trust the T-Wolves at this point?

There's an excellent chance that we start next season with a top 10, and top 15 NBA player,as well as keep the majority of the talent we have now.
If so, you think that equates to "limited ceiling and no real hope of winning anything substantial "?
Also, IF , that happens, then the Heat jumps right back in the equation for any vet minimum player or buyout player during the season.

When the Heat has no stars, you rip that process, if they get stars, you say they are garbage.

You really are pathetic, jealous or both.

You just keep on hoping for sucking, lotto balls, and having to use the word "someday", but we all know that day only came because of one word, LeBron.

Spurs could be better.

Twolves haven't proved anything.
Kings need to make that next step.
Thunder out.
Mavs are still very young and also need to make that next step.

Worst case the Warriors struggle and get a #8 unless a team emerges like the Kings or Mavs.
