Someone help me out here, why would anyone argue that the Heat haven't really done shit in the 6 years since Lebron left (mind you, that we made it to the 2nd round in a game 7 with Toronto w/out Bosh due to blood clots) and reference your own team making it back in 5 years after losing Lebron, when you made it back BECAUSE LEBRON RETURNED TO YOUR FUCKING TEAM.
Because they had to make the team desirable enough for Lebron to come back. Duh.

That's fair. I just don't think dtgold thought this argument through. He's bragging about how Cleveland returned to the Finals 5 years after Lebron left....ignoring that Lebron returned to bring Cleveland to the Finals. Did Lebron come back to Miami at any point?
McFly....doesn't that say something the Cavs had the cap room and were attractive enough with players and other assets to lure him back and Miami, well, wasn't?

Didn't matter what Miami had going on post-Lebron. He wasn't coming back to Miami. Lebron after he left Miami described it as a college experience allowing him to learn and grow up. He went back to Cleveland as a legacy move to enhance his brand. Again, your point in how Miami hasn't been back to the Finals in 6 years, yet Cleveland went back in 5 years is about as flawed as you can get considering the common denominator.

I think it should be a common rule on this forum that if you try to make these one-sided arguments while ignoring huge holes in logic, that you shouldn't be a condescending kunt.

that would be fine with me as long as they get value

right now and for the next 2 years its all about finding out who can play and who cant and acquiring more assets.....

Sexton sure looked like he could play though- especially after he got his legs under him.

and ESPECIALLY considering the circumstances, a fired coach, tons of turnover, tons of injuries, etc....

it doesnt surprised me he scored the points he did considering hte opportunities,

it DOES suprise me that he shot 40% from 3, and 43% from the field....especially after a slow start and went for like 42% from 3, 45% from the field and 20+ points a game the last 3 months.
Right....best case might be they move him as it probably means Garland is a star and they are able to get a stud back.

should be noted he put up those numbers with most saying shooting would be his biggest issue.

I mean, we can argue semantics all you want. But Lebron rode out of Cleveland the first time so he could have a chance at a title and learn how to win and went to Miami to do it.

*mic drop*

I tell ya if Lebron is getting any strange that shit is wrapped up in a fifty shades of grey type contract or something

I mean, it certainly helps that the Cavs dont employ Riley in his senile years...i mean, maybe he thought James Johnson was Magic Johnson? lol? possible? no?

I'm going to need to see proof Lebron could have taken this Heat squad to a finals

(Throws grenade and leaves)
he mightve - who knows- but he was certainly sick of carrying Wade and Bosh who were both edging more and more towards steeper and steeper decline.

I mean, makes sense that he traded in Bosh and Wade for Kyrie and Love. Just common sense at that point.

Yeah they would have kept Wiggins most likely but they had commitments from Hayward, Ariza and Frye...so obviously they were a lot better getting Lebron but they had a backup plan to possibly make the playoffs. Kyrie, Wiggins, Hayward, Ariza, Frye...is a good start
and like i have said- the Heat will continue to wallow in mediocrity. Cavs will take some hits developing the young guys but they will absolutely get to the ECF before the Heat do.

Smart man that Lebron

I'm one of the few who likes Colin Cowherd and he had a great line today

"The Lakers are two stars and seven Christopher Walken's"

I happen to big a big Walken fan though so appreciated the reference

I'm guessing you're thinking more like a couple Walken's and a Stephen Baldwin or two though

I actually like Cowherd for the most part too but sometimes he will say some stupid stuff like any radio/tv show host. I don't like the fact he is getting on to Mayfield and basically shitting on him. He said he was undraftable and then changes his story up and making excuses after Baker has a great rookie season. Some guys just need to man up and say they were wrong lol

Yeah, I keep forgetting how the Cavs are the beacon of success.

He's just being contrarian when it comes to Baker so he can say "I told you so" later if on the slim chance he was right.

that honestly is why I DON'T like him, though...

the guy acts WAY too much like a front-runner...
