On a side note. I was going to draft Jim Brown about 10 rounds ago, but then I kept putting it off until eventually now he's gone. Why do we all hate him around here again?

I just wanna say he was a ball dominant guard that mainly opperated within 10 feet of the basket.

Im not saying he isnt a top player. He's def higher then sone that went ahead of him

He is just harder to build around that is all I am saying.

Shaq's footwork was probably the 2nd best of all time as a big next to Hakeem. While his strength and power allowed him to establish a low post position, he was incredibly agile, and had amazing finesse for a guy his size. If he had stayed in better shape in his career and was a bit more impactful on defense, he might be the 2nd best player of all time when it was all said and done.

It's why I would put Shaq ahead of Wilt. He didnt the paint but he had great footwork and great vision.

I will say some rookie legend made him look pedestrian...I won't name drop

They didn't have a 3 ball back then nobody shot outside shots. He had a mid range which is all you needed.

MJ was a jackass, he punched Kerr in the face lolzzz

Kobe and Shaq weren't great teammates, to each other or other teammates as well.

Lebron hates his teammates and tries to get them all traded at some point, unless you're James Jones and you get to be on his team for as long as you want.

No way Wilt is higher than Lebron. Magic arguably could be at the same level but to most Lebron has surpassed him.

You realize Wilt did the same thing as Shaq except he was facing 6'7" centers lolzz No doubt he put up amazing stats but Hakeem and Kareem had way more refined games

Hi, welcome to the internet, this is where people voice their opinions! No way is he higher than LeBron, lolzzz says the Cavs fan...

So, you are penalizing Wilt for when he played but LeBron gets a pass for playing when you can't even breath on a player, okey dokey...

You have to compare it to the era, that's how basketball was played back then.

I guess I have to do the same thing with Wilt but he was facing SF's and he was a giant. Life was easy lol

There have been plenty of NBA centers who rivaled his size and strength that were nowhere near as effective. Footwork is one of the things that set him apart and is actually a big reason why he was as good as he was. So without that footwork, that power and running people over is useless. He'd be the baseball equivalent of Adam Dunn.

Give me a couple other centers who were 7'2 and over 300 lbs. Also let's remember I never said he didn't have talent, he got where he was based on his God given talent but to act like he dominated because he was a good tap dancer is ridiculous...

Stephon Marbury the greatest Steph PG of all time.

Your rip against Lebron goes both ways he had to play defensively against great players and played shutdown defense. Rules are rules, you can't change them.

Wilt was going up against 6'7" SG's hahahaha

Hakeem dominated Shaq and David Robinson...and when I say dominate...he literally made them look pedestrian.

Magic shot 52% and his Usage rate was in the low 20s.

Oscar shot 48% and his Usage rate had to be closer to 40 as he took 10+ more shots a game.

They aren't comparable from a team construction standpoint.

Magic played with better players around him.

You said he gets a pass, he played by the rules there isn't a "pass" in question.

Look at the league leaders in rebounds when Wilt dominated. There were 3 guys 6'10" or taller and Wilt was one of them at 7'1". He mainly faced guys on a daily basis that he was 5 to 6 inches taller than and 50-60 pounds heavier than.

To make a comparison in today's game it would be like...

Anthony Davis 6'10" 250 on the block against Steph Curry 6'3" 190 lolzz He would score every single time

Yeah Shaq's sheer size made him incredibly difficult to stop. I'll give you that.

But I just believe you to be really undervaluing the importance of Shaq's agility and footwork into him being the player that he was. His size allowed him to get to great positions on the court, but it was all of the other things that allowed him to be successful.

Of course you are giving him a pass, you are downgrading Wilt because of when he played but aren't downgrading LeBron at all for when he played, lolzzz that's kinda the definition of giving a pass...
