This thread is officially full of speculative, uninformed dumb asses who think their opinion can stand in for facts. Sorry folks, I don't buy your posts that don't back up opinion with fact. Show me where PSU doesn't have a large national fanbase. Show me how ND has all these "towns and cities" on lock down with their fanbase. Until then, shelf your pride and contribute to the conversation instead of attacking other posters.

Virginia Tech doesn't travel well... Look at all the empty ACC Championship Games and Orange Bowl Games Va Tech has been in.

I thought Va Tech also had rivalries with West Virginia and Miami. Logistically it doesn't make sense. That is like UCLA joining the SEC. Yes UCLA would add another major market to the SEC and they are great academically but they are not a Southeastern team and they would leave all their rivals to go play in the SEC. It makes 0 sense.

Georgia Tech hasn't been good since 1991 and they were mostly taking advantage of a weak conference. That team has been on free fall ever since they left the SEC in 1960s. Trust me, they are in the shadow of UGA. I think UGA has won 10 out of the last 11 games.

M fault, I was excluding you from those other morons; you're the only one thus far to back up your assertions (and have a proven track record anyway) :tea:

(the other two should be smileys....)

As long as it's the bourbon first; I hate not being able to enjoy the slow burn and smokey taste of my Makers Mark :smokin:

Come to the Big 12> You can keep your TV deal and make another $15.5M on top of that. ND won't see that kind of money in the ACC......

Yeah, because unequal revenue sharing has worked out so well for the Big 12.

ESPN has a vested interest in WVU staying put, so I don't think I buy that too much, though it is coming across the twittervese from some more reputable sources.

This was from a local show that's on ESPN radio, not a national show. It's legit. What they are reporting is that the Big 12 will wait on Mizzou to formally withdraw before accepting WVU, and that in the meantime, Louisville is making a strong push to be included.

NOBODY wants to be in the Big East.

Actually it has. And unequal revenue sharing is no longer in existence.

Ummmmm, for Texas maybe. Pretty sure Nebraska, Colorado and Missouri might disagree with you.

I've never said PSU doesn't have a large national fanbase. I've said that their New England base is a joke compared to what it was 20 years ago.

And are you retarded, or just bad a reading? Not only have I not said that ND has a city under it's control, I've stated that NYC, Philly and DC are not locked down by anyone.

Rumor is now that the B12 is requesting we play Texas + 5 B12 teams a year (up from Texas + 2). This will likely be too much and push us to the ACC.

Wouldn't they want the BE broken up, especially with NBC making a push to take over all BE broadcasting?
