Not surprised because they have definitely been improved. But since May 22 (Swarzaks debut) braves bullpen has the best era.

At 2.83. Next closest is Cleveland at 3.61

It's been a noticeable improvement, but I'm pretty surprised the ERA is that low since then.

And what's more surprising about it is preseason, we all thought Vizcaino, Minter and Sobotka would be 3 we could rely on. Minter and Sobotka have spent most of the year in the minors because they were so bad, and Vizcaino got hurt and is now property of another organization. Really is a patchwork group.

When I look back on it, Swarzak has been awesome. Newcomb was great in relief. Webb has quietly been great. Jackson has been ok. Blevins has been solid in his short outings. It makes sense. But definitely surprising considering where they started this season.

Also newcomb starting his rehab in Gwinnett tonight.

It's to the point where I dread Folty starting. This is shit. Bullpen might have improved, but the rotation has regressed if anything, and the offense is gonna go through peaks and valleys, and they peaked for about two weeks, and it's about due to slow down.

Are we ever gonna beat the Nationals? We pretty well had em buried, but we just let em back in everytime we play them.

And sorry Ozzie, but adjust to the God damn change up. Not much aggravates me more than striking out on a pitch well out of the zone.

I thought he was crazy, but 1980 national champion QB, Buck Belue said over the off season that the Braves should trade Folty because he value would never be higher.
