And none of that has anything to do with the fact that when they play in bowl season, the 8 team conferences tend to win. Honestly this is dumber than B1G fans crying about how far they have to travel for bowl games as compared to their opponents.
You just made that shit up.

AND YOU ARE GAMING THE SYSTEM AS WELL BY AVOIDING PLAYING ANYONE WITH A HEART BEAT OUT OF CONFERENCE.
Would you like me to give you the same 4th grade math lesson I gave gatorchip yesterday. It's a mathematical fact that conferences that play a 9 game conference schedule suffer more losses than one that plays an 8 game conference schedule.

SEC sets 12-year non-division rotation

And yet when they play teams from other conferences they tend to win those games. Is it because of the 8 game schedule? Yes or no?

Made what up? The fact that the SEC is above .500 in games against other P5 conferences or that the B1G fans cry bloody murder about their frequent flyer miles?

The fact of the matter is conferences that actually play their own conference members suffer more losses than pseudo conferences that refuse to play their own conference members. That is a mathematical fact.

Yes and conferences that play 9 game conference schedules tend to lose their games against those that play an 8 game schedule.

And it is a statistical fact that no team that has played a nine game conference schedule has won the playoffs.

It’s also a fact that the last time Washington beat a ranked non conference opponent, Katy Perry “Firework” was the number one song.

Not that it matters, but the SEC maths are wrong if you calculate it like all the others ... 9.1 instead of 9. 9.14 rounded down to 9.1 like you did with the others.

The PAC doesn't get an extra bye week to rest up their players like the SEC.
You should fix that and quit whining. It's not hard to set up your schedule in a way that is advantageous to you.

SEC sets 12-year non-division rotation <--- our fans would flip if the PAC pulled this shit. Rivalries are built within your conference when you actually play your conference members. The south is lacking bigly in that regard.

Meh ... different priorities and rivalries, based on tradition. We could have gone to a 6 year non-division rotation, but it would have required getting rid of the permanent rivalries. We just weren't willing to do that because our fans would have flipped if you got rid of the UGa v. Auburn, Florida v. LSU, Alabama v. UTjr games. If you think we are missing rivalries in college football in the south, not sure you've ever spent much time down here. I mean, seriously, a PAC guy lecturing the SEC on rivalries in college football. SMH.

Any conference that adds two more members and goes on a twelve year rotation is lacking a college football soul.

You must not have read my post ... we are more interested in maintaining our main traditional rivalries than making sure we do a home and away with each non-divisional team every 6 years.

Also, to be clear, you realize we play each non-division team that isn't our permanent rival once every 6 years, not 12 years. It isn't a big deal to us, not sure why it is to you. Although I have to admit that I wish I didn't have to wait 12 years to go to TAMU ... but it isn't a soul shattering issue as you seem to think.

As to having a soul, by any measure college football in the south is fine. SEC's attendance averaged 74,185 last year. PAC averaged 46,588. If you look at attendance as a percentage of capacity, the SEC far exceeds the PAC. So, whatever it is that you think you guys are doing, it isn't working.

I also wish NO rankings came out prior to week 8. Let the commentators speculate, but official polls shouldn't be released so early, it perpetuates the bias too.

'Oh I thought Tennessee was preseason #13, they beat no one so I moved them up to #7 then they lost to #1 Bama 142-3.... so I moved them down to #9' - bias is fucking ridiculous.
Exactly. In a perfect scenario where 5 P5 conferences produce an undefeated team, it's likely the 4 who make it would be the ones on a pre-season list.

Tip of the hat for remaining steadfast in doing so. :yo:

Would it be asking too much for you to teach Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, and Texas A&M how to do that?
