I never thought I'd say this, but at this point, let Newk slide into Gausman's spot into the rotation until Keuchel can get here.

At this point, I'm all for Gausman getting the DFA treatment. Thank God we didn't extend his ass.

I don't understand why Gausman can't get it together. The dude throws 97 with movement and has a nasty off speed pitch, but he just can't put it together.

My only concern with that would be how many innings Newk would be able to go considering he has been out of that role for a while.

I’d also be concerned just because he’s been drastically better in the pen.
