It's you who needs to do some reading.

He will make his original 4th year $720,000, his original 5th year $22,783,000 option and then move into his FOUR Extension.

No, I reread it and you are 100% right and I was wrong.

Lot of guaranteed cash but I see 6 years 150 mill. That’s 25 a year. Sounds good to me.
Why do people keep saying this as if the deal is not $32M per year? The other money was already done. It's the new money you look at and that matters. He got $32M per year in this deal.

That’s true. I read it wrong.

You guys still act as if the cap is a one year phenomena. Are you all this dim :L

I'm sure this is as backloaded as the other recent deals so a piece of cake to fit within the cap. I kept clicking on the link for the Philly cap in 2021 on spotrac and all I got was this

$107 mil of the contract is guaranteed and since it is for 4 years I am not sure how backloaded this contract can be.

Yep, Dak will now get more than 32M per year.
You think? The more i think about it the more I think both sides just say what are we wasting our time on. Let's do the same deal.

I think this is exactly what was expected for Wentz in dollars per year. Although $107M for an injury prone QB could be devastating. I would have thought around $80M guaranteed. Hope Dak doesn't get near $100M guaranteed.

Be still my heart. No dug in heels?

I'll freely admit I'm an ass but I'm an ass with facts.

I’ve always admitted when I was wrong. I read it incorrectly. You were spot on.

Daks not going to get an extension IMO. He’s going to get a new deal. He needs some cash flow and $800,000 isn’t gonna work... IMO

I was wrong. Manster was right. I read the amounts incorrectly and he didn’t. No problem saying that.
Nothing wrong with being wrong. Maybe just tap the brakes instead of going 150mph all out and being so sure you were right in the first place?

Don't you think that is a lot of money to tie up on a backup running back? Are you counting on Dak to start over Zeke?

Dak did not have 5th year option because he was a 4th rounder. I think the rookie contract rules will not allow them to tear up the last year of the deal. He has to play the full rookie deal out. I know after year 3 players are eligible for extensions but that is it not new deals.

Talent wise Dak is not as good as Wentz. However, Dak.....has not missed a game and that counts for something. He probably will not get Wilson/Wentz money but he is going to get at least $25 mil a year IMO.

The cash flow is the signing bonus. He will get a huge SB and get that cash immediately. This will keep this years cap hit very reasonable for Dallas. Let's say he gets a $50M SB (I have no clue what he'll get). They will split that over 5 years. He will get $50M immediately and yet his 2019 cap hit will only be $12M. Win, win.
