Fraley was the only local writer who reported that Prince Fielder's bat speed had declined before the Rangers traded for him. During that first ST that Fielder was here, Fraley reported that scouts had told him that Prince's bat speed had declined the year before. I will miss the writing of a man who had such good sources compared to other local writers.

Could not figure out if his reporting re him was sincere or sarcastic. Looks like it may have been sincere.

Being out of the state and out of touch with what's going on with the day-to-day happenings, it shocked me to see GF had passed.........I always found him interesting even though at times we weren't on the same page........Overall, and although I never met the man, I respected his views as sincere and well thought out.
