I am so meh about this hire. It seems like their list was a terrible group and Smith is one of the least offensive to me, but he's not someone I would have targeted.

I'm just happy to have a guy who thought the Leafs needed more Polak-like players off the bench. The fact he's taking over a team who should ice an entire lineup of Polak's as far as I'm concerned is just a nice treat in what's generally been an awful spring.
