I actually think this makes AD getting traded sooner far more likely . If you're the Pels you got your franchise replacement with Zion . No point in trying to hold on longer than you need to now. I think he's gone before the draft now especially given the Lakers having a way better offer now

Sure picking 4th is better than 11th, but there isn't much difference between what'll be available at 4 and 11.

I don't agree at all because first of - it means the Lakers can take their choice - I know in fantasy NBA, I have dropped down to take the player I need. I'm sure some teams might do that some - especially if taking the 5th means getting a quality center or a talented shooting guard. But #4 is fantastic - It is control over the next 10 teams

NBA draft lottery is completely Broken IMO
If your afraid teams will tank for the #1 pick put all the teams in the lottery and let it be a real lottery with no rewards for poor performance just pure luck.
That completely evens the field and takes any thoughts of it being rigged out of the picture. I think it’s rigged but that’s just my opinion

It’s not about money, it’s power. #4 pick is pretty damn good for LA though. Helps that trade value but now New Orleans holds all the cards

Yeah - for me as I said - even if the #11 is just as good at the #4, its the power to choose. That is everything to me. Now at this point, Id offer the Pelicans the #4 for their 1st pick and Solomon Hill - That would give them some salary relief and the Lakers could get Zion and yes I know that is a huge fantasy

I’ve always like Morant more than Zion. I have also always thought RJ would be a bust. Zion is extremely talented but still a question mark. All seem reasonable
