Leclerc needs to be taken out of the closers role.

He does for his own mental health. I remember Banny keeping struggling closers in hoping they figure it out. It just made them worse. Difference is Jose is young. He can do a stint in AAA or down in a set up role to figure things out without having the pressure of the game on the line.

The double he hit earlier was very close to being a home run.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m watching the same games as the rangers brass. The decision seems so easy to make sure Santana gets at bats everyday. He was also our best hitter in spring training. He doesn’t even have to replace the beloved and sacred odor.

I’ve been saying he could be a late bloomer like Nelson Cruz.

I think there’s a lot bigger problems to deal with.

Fielding hasn’t been great elsewhere in the outfield anyway. Mazara had a ball in the 9th last night that he should’ve caught and it would’ve saved the win for us in hindsight.

Neither us/ownership/the manager can address the numberous problems we have across the board. But if you know Choo is a complete liability defensively, we have a lead, take the frigging glove away from him...PERIOD. He's the worst OF we have, and this is easily addressed IMO.

Didn't see the Maz catch/lack-of but he's never going to win any GG either. But I'd much rather see him out there than Choo with a lead.

That’s one of the things wrong with this team. They’re so resistant to change, they pick winners and losers, they anoint chosen ones and in the face of insurmountable evidence, they still stick with “their guy”.

We’ve seen this shit before. Wash with David Murphy, Banny with Odor.

We need woodward to break the mold and make changes if it’s evident that the changes need to be made.

Can't imagine anyone disagreeing with ya on this one.

But frankly, I think our pitching problems are going to get worse - maybe much worse - before they get better. I mean, numerous times each week we have a starter who goes about 4 innings. So if our starter can't do any better than this, and our BP sucks, plus now they run the chance of being totally abused, well, I just see some bad days & nights ahead.

A sweep at the hands of a team that lost 8 in a row before coming to town.

Ouch......

They hit all of our weaknesses tho. Literally. Bullpen got lit up, the pirates drew walks in both games which turned into runs that ended up being the difference in the score, and we got absolutely nothing out of the second place hitter.
