I'm not worried personally. We may have signed our starting SS in Iloka. We have a good young FS (can play both) in Woods. We did draft a safety. How do you know he won't be good? There are also a couple of FAs out there still and I'm sure if there was a guy the team felt was worth it they would have picked him
Safety is a glaring need and they ignored that position.

Stephen Jones notes that it’s unfair to compare a draft pick to a Pro Bowler, be he thinks Tony Pollard has “a little Kamara to him.”

Like father like son. My kids gonna have to deal with this shit too. :behindsofa:
I did not know anything about pollard. His film looks good. I hope the cowboys use him. Pollard is real good. I looked at weber's film. I liked what I saw. We got zeke, pollard and weber going forward. I am surprised that weber dropped to the 7th

I higher on the Pollard pick today than I was yesterday.

He's has a good chance of being our everywhere player.

Return guy looks to be a lock. He'll get some RB Carrie's, but I think you'll see him a lot in the slot. He could be Beasley's replacement leaving the more expensive Cobb and/or Hurns expendable.
Yes, I really was not happy with the pick at first and decided to research him. Good returner and can run deeper routes if needed. I really like the pick

Because they skipped the guys that the mock drafts you read had ranked better? Again, we signed a FA safety and we drafted one. Let's see what happens. If Woods is the FS we need an in-the-box SS. That's what Iloka should be for us. You don't have to pay a lot to get a guy to start if that is what you are looking for and hopefully they put one of the kids back there with Woods in the Nickel instead of Iloka or Heath. The idea that they should pick a player because mocks had them rated highly is not how I want my team drafting. If they passed on a guy they loved at a position of need I'd be disappointed, but I'm not getting the feeling that happened. I'll say it again, remember WR last year. I bet you complained when they passed on Ridley and guys like that for Vander Esch or guys like Kirk, Sutton and Miller that would have cost us a prime pick instead of Gallup. Patience

I've been patient for over 20 years. The last time we were in a Super Bowl I was only 14 years old.

OK, but what does that have to do with the Cowboys not liking the safeties that Mel Kiper liked? No team drafts consistently better than Dallas. There is a lot to criticize but the draft isn't one of them IMO

A friend in Memphis who goes to all home games assures me that Tony Pollard is all you think he is. Solid all around.

Laugh all you want, but they added 3-4 undrafted guys that could make the 53 or practice squad. This isn't Madden Football, that's a great job

They are one of the better evaluators in the league when it comes to UFA’s. I’m with you. One of two of these kids are going to make the team.

It could be that they are better at evaluating UDFA talent or that guys want to come here because of the track record of UFDAs making the Cowboy's roster, but I suspect 1 or 2 make the 53 and 2 or 3 more may make the PS and that is what these guys are looking for.

With all that talent why haven't we sniffed a SB since 1995?

Until Will kinda took over things in scouting and player personnel... I question your assertion of “all that talent”. And - had Jerry not run Parcells off (my $0.02 - unsubstantiated) we might not still be waiting.

I am hoping donovan wilson steps up in camp and pre season and makes heath expendable. Wilson seems to be decent and probably will be better than heath
