They still have UDFAs and the best recent history of giving UDFA a shot at making the roster. Any TE left undrafted should be lining up for BB.

152. Bryon Cowart - DT - Maryland

"Cowart was rated the No. 1 recruit in the country by some outlets in 2015 after earning All-American and Florida Class 6A Player of the Year honors. He could not get on the field regularly at Auburn (12 tackles, 1.5 for loss, in 23 games over two years as a reserve); he felt that was primarily because the coach who recruited him, Will Muschamp, left for South Carolina. His mother was also having health issues, so he left the Tigers in September and enrolled at Hillsborough Community College near his home in the Tampa area. Maryland won the second recruiting battle for his services, and he played well enough in 2018 to be named an honorable mention All-Big Ten performer. Cowart started all 12 games for the Terps, posting 38 tackles, five for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble."

Bench: 18. Vertical: 43. Broad: 11-1.
Projected Round (2019): 4-6.
4/20/19: In 2018, Webster totaled 33 tackles, two interceptions and six passes batted. He was a rotational player for Ole Miss and dealt with some nagging injuries. Webster definitely does not look like he has regained his top speed after all the injuries he has sustained. Webster helped himself by running faster than expected at the combine.

8/29/18: According to NFL preseason data, Webster checks in at 5-foot-11, 200-pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds. He has 33.25-inch arms, 8.75-inch hands, and 76.25-inch wing span.

Webster is a bit of a love/hate prospect in conversations with scouts. Some sources feel that Webster has everything that teams look for with excellent speed, ball skills, quick feet and twitchy athleticism, plus an ability to prevent separation. Others aren't believers and were very down on him before he decided to return to Ole Miss for 2018.

The 2019 NFL draft is officially over! 254 players heard their name called, from first overall selection Kyler Murray to Mr. Irrelevant, Caleb Wilson — ten of them were picked by the New England Patriots. Let’s take a look at the newest members of the team:

1-32 WR N’Keal Harry: With the 32nd overall selection, the Patriots addressed arguably their biggest need entering the draft: they added considerable receiving talent by picking Arizona State wideout N’Keal Harry. Projected to serve as an X-receiver at the next level, his size and athletic skills help make up for some of his minor shortcomings — and turned Harry from a productive college receiver to a first-round draft pick.

2-45 CB Joejuan Williams: New England moved up in the second round to pick Vanderbilt’s Joejuan Williams with the 45th overall selection. A physical cornerback, the 21-year-old could turn out to be a versatile defensive back for the Patriots — one capable of covering wide receivers on the perimeter and tight ends in the middle of the field.

3-77 DE Chase Winovich: While Chase Winovich is not the most explosive of athletes, he wins because of his solid overall technique and consistently running motor. In New England, the Michigan product will compete for playing time behind expected starting defensive edges Michael Bennett, Deatrich Wise Jr. and John Simon.

3-87 RB Damien Harris: A team captain and second-team All-SEC selection in 2018, Alabama’s Damien Harris will likely serve as the top early-down and short yardage running back option alongside Sony Michel. A very good pass blocker, he lacks the burst to be a true bell cow runner, but should become a serviceable rotational option.

3-101 OT Yodny Cajuste: A powerful run blocker, New England invested in West Virginia’s Yodny Cajuste with their final day two pick. Cajuste is a developmental, high-upside option that gives the Patriots some flexibility at the offensive tackle position: he could serve as a backup swing tackle early on and possible move into a starting role further down the line.

4-118 OG Hjalte Froholdt: A very good pass protector with very good quickness measurements, the Denmark-born Hjalte Froholdt will compete with Ted Karras for the top interior backup spot in New England. Furthermore, the Arkansas product will also serve as long-term insurance in case Joe Thuney leaves the Patriots via free agency next year.

4-133 QB Jarrett Stidham: One of the best pure throwers in the draft, Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham has the tools to become a starter in the NFL one day. While he needs the right offense and weapons around him to achieve success, he has landed in an ideal situation to further grow as a quarterback: Stidham will have time to sit and learn while working his way to the top backup spot behind Tom Brady.

5-159 DE Byron Cowart: A former five-star high school recruit, Cowart transferred from Auburn to Maryland in search of more consistent playing time: he found it and quickly became a starter at his new school. That being said, he might have benefitted from staying in school a year longer as his technique remains a work in progress — something he will need to quickly work on if he wants to make the Patriots’ deep defensive line roster.

5-163 P Jake Bailey: For the second straight year, New England will see a punting competition in training camp: with the selection of Stanford product Jake Bailey in the fifth round, the Patriots put pressure on incumbent Ryan Allen. Bailey, a strong-legged and versatile punter, will try to do what Corey Bojorquez failed: unseat the three-time Super Bowl winner.

7-252 CB Caleb Wilson: With the 252nd overall pick, New England decided to invest in a de facto priority free agent: Ole Miss cornerback Ken Webster, a developmental defensive back who needs to improve his feel for the game but has some foundational skills in place.

When it comes to making trades around the NFL Draft, few teams are as active as the New England Patriots.

Bill Belichick is known for his tendency to trade down in the draft. But in 2019, he showed that he’s more than willing to move up and down the board if he finds the right deal with a team.

After sitting still and making a pick on Thursday, the Patriots made seven trades involving picks over the last two days of the draft.

Here’s a rundown of each of the Patriots’ trades during the 2019 NFL Draft.

Trade No. 1

The deal (trade up): No. 56 & 101 for No. 45

The pick (45): Joejuan Williams, DB, Vanderbilt

The Patriots were aggressive with their second pick of the draft, moving up 11 spots to grab the 6-foot-4 cornerback out of Vanderbilt.

Trade No. 2

The deal (trade down): No. 64 for No. 77 & 118

The pick (77): Chase Winovich, DE, Michigan

The pick (118): Hjalte Froholdt, OL, Arkansas

Shortly after losing a pick, the Patriots pick up an extra pick by trading out of Round 2. They got a third rounder (Winovich) and fourth-rounder (Froholdt) out of the deal.

Trade No. 3

The deal (trade down): No. 73 & 205 for No. 87 & 162

The pick (87): Damien Harris, RB, Alabama

The pick (162): Traded

The Patriots moved down from No. 73 to No. 87 with one part of this deal, grabbing an extra running back out of the deal.

They also technically moved up with the second pick of this deal, but wound up flipping that in their next deal.

Trade No. 4

The deal (trade down): No. 97 & 162 for No. 101 & 133

The picks (101): Yodny Cajuste, OT, West Virginia

The pick (133): Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn

The Patriots moved back four picks in Round 3 and still landed Cajuste. In exchange, they moved up from No. 162 to 133 in Round 4, putting them in a spot to grab a quarterback.

Trade No. 5

The deal (trade down): No. 134 & 243 for No. 162 & 167

The pick (162): Traded

The pick (167): Also traded

Trade down? Trade up? It doesn’t really matter, they wound up using both the picks acquired here as part of the ammunition for the final two trades.

Trade No. 6

The deal (trade up): No. 162 & 239 for No. 159

The pick: Byron Cowart, DL, Maryland

The Patriots gave up one of their seventh-round picks to move up three spots to grab Cowart. He must have been at risk of coming off the board.

Trade No. 7

The deal: No. 167 & No. 246 for No. 163

The pick (163): Jake Bailey, P, Stanford

The Patriots were apparently afraid of losing out on a punter, opting to lose a seventh-round pick to move up four spots to grab Bailey.

Meant C+ it was early.

But I feel there were positions of need not addresses. I think where we picked up a RB we could have grabbed a TE, I don't like the Stidham pick at all, I feel we should have grabbed an extra WR and we should have grabbed a DT earlier. And I am not so hyped for the O Line grabs.
