IM going to call it now. Smith will be on IR this year from jump. They simply cant afford to release him even as a June 1st cut. He will be a june 1st cut in 2020 for cap reasons.

Well - whatever it takes. Take your medicine & get this out of the way as quickly as possible (whenever that is). This will give them huge flexibility moving fwd. If Haskins pans out it will be a huge positive. Having an effective, young QB is a major advantage in today's NFL. Just ask the Rams, Chiefs, Boys & several other teams.

For this team, Haskins upside and downside are the same issue.

He is Dan Snyders guy, so he will be given every chance to succeed or fail. Upside

Should be interesting to watch.

Agree. However - unlike more recent QBs - he will not have nearly as much of a negative impact if he fails for whatever reason. It will only mean losing a single pick (not giving up huge portions of upcoming drafts) & not really making much of a dent in the salary cap. Hopefully it never comes to that, but even it does it will not cripple the team.

This is the biggest thing. Haskins isn't the best prospect ever but he's not a QB who was propped up into going in the first. He's a legit prospect.

A potential franchise QB with the 15th pick is awesome value. If it doesnt work you try again.

LMAO!! It is funny, I was watching a shot of those folks who go to the draft and thought of you. A nub in a jersey that thinks he knows it all and when a team doesn't draft a guy you like you get your ass all bent out of shape and declare that player a POS from there on. All good dean, I pay little attention to your opinions because I don't think you know your (_)_) from a hole in the ground.

Draft is going well so far, even you like it. :D Enjoy.

I know exactly what im talking about and have been proven right numerous times. I don't pay attention to your opinions and don't call me out when you cannot back it up.

The draft backed me up slim. You tried to tell me I was wrong several weeks ago. Look at Round 1 again and let me know if DLine or Saftey is considered a more important position.

If you don't want to be called out don't say stupid shit. Yes I know you are going to say more stupid shit. You don't have the ability to admit when you are wrong. Not now and not in the past. Everyone knows your record. No worries, there is no reason to be upset, there is no penalty for being wrong on a consistent basis on a forum. You are living proof. hehe :D

I think the activity in a certain thread and a relatively quiet off-season with no Kirk or rg3 issues to argue about has made us forget how heated our football related arguments actually get lol.

Which will go down in history as the worst draft class ever?
2013 or 2019?

Who the hell cares. If say Haskins and/or Sweat & possibly other picks work out for the Skins I don't care if 2019 goes down as the worst NFL draft ever! You reference the 2013 draft. Yes - it was bad, but it still produced the likes of Hopkins, Ertz, Bell & Kelce. If the Skins get some big time contributors from this draft then it will be a real positive.

Good to see that you are focusing on the negative as usual.

Not much left in this draft with that trade, but I'll bet that they somehow make a move to get a WR!
You are correct sir. Skinsenses tell me they're going to trade their 2 3rds and one of their 5ths for a second rounder to get... Parris Campbell. You heard it here first... and propably last.

I think it actually makes a ton of sense for the Skins to draft a QB in a draft class this bad.... Honestly if a majority of the 1st round and entire draft is going to be irrelevant why not roll the dice on an important position? Pretty much like the entire NFL is taking off this year. I wont even kill the Giants for taking Jones that early under same rationale.

2013 produced like 5-6 studs. I expect 2019 draft to produce the same...

I do hattte that they traded 2020 draft capital though when that draft will likely be 20x the draft class this one is. I think the skins should have traded their 2nd and both 3rds this year to move back into the 1st. That would have been more appetizing than trading a 2020 2nd when that draft class projects to be much much stronger.

But first let me preface this with my expectation that Haskins is going to be a bust and Sweat is going to be good... If only a handful of players turn out good, which is what I expect, this would actually be a win for the Skins even if Haskins falls flat on his face.

Insanely slow and long delivery (Jason Campbell)

Very unathletic and may battle weight issues.... but all in all in a draft class as weak as this why not?

you are such a fool. I said pass rushing d lineman go high not run stuffing. I said do it all safeties go higher than run stuffing d lineman. This draft doesn't have do it all safeties so its a bad example. You are the one saying stupid shit. Wrong? How am I wrong when the players I want turn out to be better. We still have posters on here who still think Murphy and Long are better players than Lawrence and G. Jackson. You don't get the point. don't bother messaging me.
