I have no idea what game you watched yesterday.

I'm done responding because you clearly didn't watch the same game the rest of the world watched.
ill guarantee you that the games that the Sixers win in this series are the games that Butler plays his most minimal roles in.

what you fail to understand is that the team was a disjointed mess, the ball didnt move, guys werent involved, guys werent getting the ball where they are comfortable getting it- the team is never going to win when Jimmy Butler is dominaitng the ball and forgetting that its a team game.

The Nets won because they played much better team basketball and everyone played their roles.

Tobias Harris gets 7 shots. Show me all the WIDE open shots Reddick missed. No one is in rhythm. No one knows when or where they are getting the ball. There is no flow.

The NEts will let Jimmy Butler get 50 every night if it means the rest of the team is basically just standing around watching a guy try and go 1 on 5.

Are you a moron? Sorry, I know the answer.....

Butler kept them in the game and Embiid was settling for 3's, instead of dominating the paint.

No comment about Embiid shooting 33%?

No comment about Embiid terrible shot selection?

No comment about Embiid shooting 15X in only 24 minutes?

I get it you hate Jimmy Butler so you will ignore the other actual factors of Philly didn't win yesterday.

Can you imagine the bitching Wiggy would be doing if Butler went 5-15 in 24 minutes yesterday as Embiid did?

Harris and Simmons both were extremely tentative yesterday.....anybody watching could see that.

I mean its obvious Embiid is not close to 100%---thats why they need ball movement nad multiple contributors- its why they need Harris and Reddick and Simmons and not Butler just going 1-5 and trying to be the hero that he has never been nor will ever be. LeBron can barely do that 1-5 thing and win a playoff game- Butler has no fucking prayer. They DESPERATELY need Butler to not dominate the ball and to actually move the ball- and make the NEts defend every where.

Butler can score 50 a game and it wont mean dick. The Nets would LOVE it if Jimmy Butler is shooting 20+ shots a game and getting zero assists. It plays right into their hands--- especially if it makes him too tired/lazy to focus on the defensive end so the Nets perimeter guys like Russell and Levert can gut them.

Butler won't shoot that much if the others are producing as they should.

What don't you understand about this?

Butler should have just sat on his ass and watched his teammates play like shit to please you right?

no one else can get into a rhythm or get the ball where they want it if its jimmy going 1 on 5, dominating the ball, refusing to pass, and trying to be the hero that he has NEVER been, is not, and never will be.

Butler has 22 shots, had the ball in his hands A TON of the time and had ZERO assists.
yeah, what an asshole.

I mean, I think I can score the ball pretty decent. The thing that bothered me most though, tell you the truth, is the fact I didn’t have a single assist. I think if I’m getting everybody involved and getting everybody else easy shots, I think the game goes a different way. You know, I’ll go study the film and see how I can find my teammates better to tell you the truth. I think if everybody’s clicking, Tobias [Harris], JJ [Redick], it takes away from my points, so be it, I’m fine with that, but I think we have a better shot at winning.

What don't you understand about this?

It was similar to what Kobe used to do, imo. If his teammates weren't playing well, he'd take over the game.

Looked to me like Butler was trying to do the same.

Having said that, it looked to me like he made the same mistake Kobe used to make some of the time as well. He didn't "check back in" to see if any of his teammates had joined the game yet.

That would be my only criticism of how he played yesterday.

Embid s knee may be a part of this result. I think they tried to rest it a lot the last month

If the Sixers go down 0-2 against Brooklyn tonight it still wouldn't be over but pretty much considering Embiid is not 100%. Butler is playing well but Simmons is too inconsistent. I would take DLo, Lavert, Dinwiddie and Joe Harris over that Sixers team right now the way they are playing. The future looks bright for the Nets. Considering how bad the F.O. has been in the past, good for them. The D-Lo trade was the best thing that ever happened to the Brooklyn franchise.

I swear the Sixers is the only team that can't exploit matchups.

You're likely right. One thing you can't do is allow a young team like the Nets to gain confidence. They already gained some by winning game 1. If they manage to go back to Brooklyn up 2-0...they'll really be difficult to deal with.

If Embiid isn't healthy then he shouldn't play. The entire offense revolves around him when he is on the court. So if we can't execute then having him on the court will screw up the entire team.

I've generally been supportive of Brett but he was outcoached on Saturday. The Sixers seemed to have no plan which resulted in 3/5ths of the starting team being completely lost.

Brett better be coaching as if his job is on the line. Because it is.

I don't think he can. He's like the Chip Kelly on offense. Remember when Kelly would only have about 4 or 5 plays total on offense. It seems like Brett only runs the dribble hand offs. No pick n rolls. No pick n pops. No iso's.
