Afternoon boys:suds:Just a hypothetical question to throw at you. What would you do, not the Flyers brass, if Dandstrom becomes a stud and dominates at the AHL? Would we keep both Hart and Sandstrom or trade Sandstrom down the road as a bigger trade? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but my gut tells me Hextall may have nailed the draft on goaltenders in the future for us.
After years of goalie after goalie this would be the best problem we've ever had. If they are both studs then yea were gonna get paid if we deal one in the future. This is the second time I've heard this about Sandstrom too.

Chicago had that problem once upon a time and traded Dominik Hasek. At least they kept some guy named Belfour.

The Ersson kid they drafted last year looks like he could be pretty good, too.

I remember that. Do you by any chance remember who the Hawks got in return in the Hasek trade?

I think Frost needs a spot next year, maybe he'll be our Panarin/Duchene type player.

The knock on him is that he plays at too slow of a pace for the NHL and that NHL defense will eat him alive. I think he starts next year in the AHL, gets used to the pace there, then hopefully comes up mid-season next year.

Note, that's not that he's a slow skater, he's actually a great skater, he just doesn't play with that kind of pace.

Yep. It would be a great 'problem' to have. As you mentioned, Ersson was great this year. Sandstrom struggled a bit, but from accounts he did play well for the Phantoms. We'll see what he's got next year in the AHL.

Honestly I didn't, but it's ranked number 1 in terms of worst trades in Blackhawks history...

What the article doesn't tell you is that the reason they traded Hasek was because Belfour was a jerk who treated Hasek like sh!t because he needed to be the unquestioned "man" and couldn't take the heat of competition. I would hope that Carter Hart would not react the same way if Sandstrom also turns out to be the real deal.

I heard from friends of mine who are Hawks fans who said Eddy "the eagle" Balfour was kind of a dick, but I never knew he was a dick to his teammate? The Hawks were loaded back then as well, very surprised they didn't win the cup with that roster with Roenick, Almonte, etc.

Unfortunately, they had a cheap owner at the time who wouldn't pay what it was going to take to keep the team together. "Dollar Bill" Wirtz.

if Fletcher gets off his as s and gets us a competent coach and some playmakers, we will easily hit 5k. If it's the same shit different year, we won't come close. Summer this place is usually quiet after the draft. Let's do this shit!:suds:
I try my best to get these posts up as we all know.:D

You should watch and here's why: Some of last games stats

Kadri will be suspended for about 5- 10 games.

There was 84 hits in the game Saturday night and about 75 of them were bone crushing hits.

Offensively there were 72 shots combined and about 85 scoring chances (guesstimate)

Pushing and shoving after every whistle.

Its non stop excitement

I would like to congratulate Noah Cates and Minn-Deluth for winning the NCAA championship. Hopefully Noah turns out to be a good luck charm and helps us get a championship too.
