I really don’t get this. This was foul by the letter of the law. I didn’t like the call, because they had been letting them bang the entire second half. This was in the milder side of contact being allowed. That said why fight this battle? If competent officiating took place this play never happens. The issue was the double dribble that rightly would have ended the game
Exactly, It was a foul and it was a double dribble. Hey, get it right half of the time huh?

No one's gonna watch this game Monday night lol

And by the way, the 3 point flop has become pretty prevalent in the game. Officials have been falling for it pretty regularly. Reggie Miller creates it. Harden has perfected it, now kids are doing it regularly. Since a lot worse get called than this one

No, what Harden and NBA guys is different. The shooter went straight up, the defender bumped him, wasn’t a big bump but either way it was a foul and should have been called.

The missed call was the obvious double dribble, he should have just kept his dribble and didn’t

50-50 call. Contact was on the way down and it was close. He got the shot off with no contact. But the defender did lean in to him a lot. I never like a game determined by a whistle.

The double dribble then that call kinda put icing on it... It wasn't a lot of contact man, sure it was on the fence, but man, tough one...

Tangent from the UVA/Auburn game;

College really needs to change the rule about fouling before the inbounds. UVA fouled Harper (?) before the inbound. No time came off the clock. Auburn shoots FTs and missed one. That benefits UVA. The team on defense playing catch up shouldn't be rewarded by not having any time come off the clock. In the pros, in that situation, fouling before the inbounds results in 1 shot (any player can shoot it) and they keep the ball.

My thoughts exactly. Half the country must have known that was a double dribble, I shouted it out immediately. Could not believe the announcers waited until long after the game had ended to even address it, WTF is the color guy there for anyway if he didn't pick up the most important missed call of the season.

As for the foul I could see that. While it's true they were letting them play all game, and at first I thought it was incidental, the defender clearly moved into the shooter and there was contact with the body.

Congrats TT. I missed most of the game because of delayed flights and shitty Wifi on the plane, so I only know what I see in the box score, which is the TT defense being great

Anyway, good luck on Monday, you seem to be the team of destiny this year. Go get that title.

I will never understand my team being in the Final Four and trying to watch the game on my phone. Why on Earth didn't you DVR it and watch when you got home?

Happy for Tech but not a Chris Beard fan. Was it Idaho that he fucked over? He took a job and then like a week later left for Tech.

Gonna be boring as hell. The best game would've been Auburn/Tech, but hey somebody screwed that up
While I agree and wanted that match up, the old guard traditionalists didn't want that to happen at all. A nothing school and a football school. The heresy of it all.

I took Tech, Auburn and Houston to win it all at the beginning of the tourney when the odds were high.

I'd like to take 'em to Vegas while they are on this heater.

The odds of them winning that Purdue game were probably at best ten percent as was the Auburn...to do both it's like at most a 2 percent chance probably
