Power 5 Conference Wins and losses

ACC 5-2

Big 12 4-2
W - T Tech, Oklahoma, Baylor, Kansas
L - Iowa State, K State

SEC 5-2

Probably missed some wins and losses in there. I am not following the tournament. I have maybe watched a total of five minutes of March Madness.

non power 5 teams
Gonzaga, UCF, Houston, Wofford, Liberty, Murray State, Buffalo, Villanova, UC Irvine

Power 5 made up last than 50% of the 64 team field, but has roughly 70% of the 32 teams.

SEC = 5 teams to the R32
Pac 12 = 2 teams to the R32

The SEC better have more teams in the Round of 32 due to them having more than double the # teams that the Pac-12 has in the tournament. More teams in the Round of 32 doesn't mean you looked better on the court.

71% of the SEC teams made the R32
67% of the Pac 12 teams made the R32

Once again, not a fair comparison in my opinion. Also, doesn't tell the whole story of who looked better on the court. Practically all the SEC teams not named Kentucky struggled/lost against their opponents the last 2 days. Only Arizona State struggled/lost from the Pac-12. SEC had a 2 seed, a 3 seed and two 5 seeds struggle against their foes. Pac-12 had a 9 seed and a 12 seed dominate.

Yeah, let's blame the SEC for the Pac 12 sucking during the season and it's best seed being a 9 seed. Anyway you try to spin it, the SEC has more percentage of their teams left.

Not blaming the SEC for the Pac-12 sucking during the regular season. I'm blaming the SEC for the SEC sucking in the tournament. Only reason we are comparing the Pac-12 is because that's what was singled out but we could do this with the B1G or the Big 12 as well.

Tennessee (favorite to win the title) shouldn't have only won by 7 against Colgate.
Auburn shouldn't have only won by 1 against New Mexico State.
LSU shouldn't have only won by 4 against Yale.
Mississippi State shouldn't have lost to Liberty.
Ole Miss shouldn't have lost by 23 to Oklahoma.

The way things looked the last two days, the SEC will be LUCKY to have 3 teams in the sweet 16. The percentage of teams argument is not a fair argument due to the difference in the # of teams each conference had in the tournament to start. Obviously, Kentucky got the job done and looked great, but that's about only bright spot for the SEC in the first 2 days of the tournament.

24 out of 32 on ESPN which is good for mid 80s. Have 2 out in the sweet 16 already in Belmont and Kansas St.

9 people out of 20 something million still have a perfect bracket. There really wasn't anything too crazy in the first round.

What Iona lacked in ability against North Carolina, they make up for with taking souvenirs.

He pulled at the sign. It sounded like peeling packing tape from a box, only the decal didn’t move much. Another manager noticed the commotion: “You’re peeling the wallpaper off,” he said. “Leave it,” only his colleague didn’t listen.

Soon one of the Gaels’ assistants coaches walked in and noticed what was happening, the pillaging.

Yep, the SEC has sucked so bad they have a higher percentage of teams that made the R32 compared to the Pac 12.
