Ok, you are clueless. GAIN= We haven't had a safety of Collins caliber since ST. Keenum is merely a 3.5M 1 year possible backup QB. Loss= We were not in position to over pay for Crowder (Quinn will be better) and paying Smith made no sense as his impact on the defense was always minimal. We can do a lot better than Smith at OLB.

We actually got better by subtraction.

Crowder coming off an injury ridden season & I liked the guy, but his contributions are replaceable. It is not like they just lost some all-pro receiver. Just about any other team would have moved on from him in similar circumstances.

I have been a very big fan of Smith for the most part during his time with the Skins. However his MO was always the same - a handful of monster games with sacks, INTs and/or tackles behind LOS, but these were always surrounded by games where you hardly even noticed he was on the field. He quite often played without discipline & would not be in his lane & this would result in a big gain for the other team. IMO he was/is a glory hound - perhaps he will learn moving fwd.

You could be correct about their replacements, but I view this team as needing several years to be truly competitive. If they don't find the replacements this season then they can find them during other offseasons.

Please try to be somewhat objective. I have let it be known that I am not happy currently with this team, but at least I am & will always be a Skins fan. If you are now an anti-Skins fan then about you take your tired act elsewhere (perhaps to that S-hole known as Philly).

Bryce Harper believes its better to raise a family in Philly then DC because DC is a dump... that is actually true.

Worst bang for your buck of any metropolitan city in the US. Sky high taxes to commute 3 hours in traffic back to your home that was built in the 1930s if you are lucky enough to live in NOVA or north of DC burbs.

Anyway, personally I would have tried to buy low on Crowder and Smith. I would have let Crowder walk and met in middle with Smith. Smith is still very young and reminds me a ton of Brandon Graham. Just 1/2 second behind for the 1st 4 years of career.

Collins I would have never paid. Instead I would have looked for some bargains. Amos for 1 since this market is so flooded. Instead they overpaid for a name..... and he is a name as redskins fans will find out soon enough.

Skins are just directionless. I am actually pissed about Keenum because I think that would have been an awesome move for Eagles with same compensation etc.

Skins make moves to pump up fan interest. Alex Smith, Haynesworth, Mcnabb, Landon Collins etc.

A good portion of the fan base who hasnt yet abandon team eat these moves up even if they are more PR related then production related.

They are lemmings for doing so. Believing in Bruce Allen and Snyder despite 20 years of ineptitude is being a homer and follower/lemming.
