Yeah, Cavs fans thought I was shitting on Love when I said, if I'm the Lakers, I'd rather have a Morris Twin over Kevin next year.

Not because I think he's better.

But, production vs. price tag makes it a pretty easy choice.
I don't disagree, but if we are talking about a team that has no cap room a Morris twin in the buyout market is better than any max player.

Then what exactly do you keep arguing about?

LeBron was never going to commit long term. He made that clear. That does not mean he wouldn't have resigned had Gilbert done everything LeBron wanted him to.

I never said this was all Gilbert's fault. But you keep asking what Gilbert did to piss LeBron off. I answered. LeBron cared nothing about the Cavs future. Obviously Gilbert did.
Don't disagree with that last comment, but even if he did what he wanted for the present (keep Kyrie and trade for PG) he still could not get a commitment from Lebron.

Yeah, no shit.

That is excellent value for the minimum when you have no cap space.

Both those guys can score, have some nasty/pettiness.

But, they know their roll and embrace it.

I used to think the one in OKC was the better twin, mostly because I'm seduced by scoring.

But, I like the one in Boston.

He plays defense and can go the whole game without scoring. But, stays engaged enough to hit a big shot at the end of a game, if you need it.

...and wouldn't.

LeBron was never going to commit long-term.

Maybe not even short-term, as we saw first-hand, when he didn't get his way.

It was always going to be 1 and 1 to hold the organization hostage.

Gearing up to visit Rock n Jenny's in the next week, maybe 2.....

A couple of suggestions:

Their Turkey sub is what got them their name, it's really good. Especially if you add avocado and bacon.

"Our Ultimate Mafia Marriage" is my favorite though. Mortadela, salami, pepperoni, capicola and provolone.

I'll have one of those two, maybe both.

But he might still have PG and Kyrie. That's a pretty good start to a rebuild.

Ok, but his last comment here was a 2 and 1.

Or he might not. Kyrie didn't like being the 2nd option, you think he'd potentially want to be the 3rd?

True.

My point is though, if you have the chance to add PG to Lebron and Kyrie, you do it...regardless of whether Lebron will commit long term or not.

Worst case, Kyrie doesn't buy in to that lineup, has surgery anyway and you have Lebron and PG for the season. Then, all 3 walk and you're essentially in the same spot you are now (or maybe just a season behind).

But at least you went all in and put together a team that would have had a much better chance at taking down the Warriors.

They are "in the same spot" but probably without some future picks that a rebuilding team needs. And with Lebron and PG but no Love they still don't come close to getting past GS.

No Durant on GS? I agree....take the shot.

out of curisoity- what are your thoughts on Brandon Ingram?

he is a very perplexing player if you ask me.

he has talent- no doubt- but he just does not seem to have the high motor that you want to see.

I like that his shooting % has improved every year- but hes a wing that really is not adept at shooting the 3

I think there are some very attractive positives to Ingram's games but corresponding negatives as well.

HE is a very hard guy to compare to other players.

Someone once said Rudy Gay, but i just don't see the explosive athleticism that Rudy Gay had early in his career.

Ingram is basically a long, rangy mid-range shooter, with some nice upside, but not elite athleticism and limited 3 pt range but is actually a pretty solid passer.

Hes a very tough guy to put your finger on and say- this is what he is- this is who he compares to. etc....it a very weird skill set combination

I have to agree with your assessment. His length makes him a difficult guard in the paint and helps him elevate over most defenders, but he doesn't always use that length to his advantage. He's not necessarily explosive, and he doesn't take a lot of 3s (should continue to work on that). His length should allow him to continue to improve as a defender.

People tried to compare him to Durant too, but that's not fair to do to anyone. Similar build (but a little shorter), doesn't have that lethal jumper, but otherwise not a bad comp I guess (if you take the jumper out of the equation).

Yeah, the picks from the Kyrie trade are why I said maybe a year behind.

I don't know re: PG and Love. Definitely not beating the Warriors with just he and Lebron. But you have a better team and maybe a chance to keep PG.

Maybe with the addition of PG, Kyrie decides to stick it out for a year for a shot at another title?

No way to know for sure.

Would have definitely been interesting to see what happened if they had made the trade.
