people can say whatever they want to about Love- but he is a great fit in this era of the NBA

he is a big man who should age well considering his skill set

hes a great rebounder, a great scorer, a great outside shooter that can spread the floor, a great transition passer, and he is a great teammate.

you can do a LOT worse than kevin love.

When he's on the court. He has played in 4 games this season and has a loooooooooooong history of injuries......even more than Mr Glass.

I have no doubt his persona is why many rip him like they do. If he was a fake toughguy who yelled at refs he'd be thought of much differently.

all these fans here keep ignoring the fact Lebron went out of his way to recruit him to the Cavs then re-recruit him to stay.

If Gore's was willing to pay luxury tax I'd almost be ok with the Pistons flipping Drummond for Love provided by some minor miracle they could get Conley as well.

At least I'd know the fourth quarter of games wouldn't make me want to punch myself in the face repeatedly.
Dude....no.

Love for Blake if you just wanted something different.

Blake has T Rex arms and Love gives you about as much from protection as I do.

You would give up layup, after layup.

Teams would just walk straight up to the rim....lol

Conley actually has a few suitors.

The problem with dealing him, as would be the case with Love, is the size of his salary.

It is virtually impossible for a playoff team to absorb a deal that big without sending back a bad contract, or a long-term deal.

Teams that stink and have open capspace don't need a win now guy.

Look at the Jazz's offer to Memphis.

Rubio, expiring, and Favors.

Favors isn't a bad deal. But, he's not giving them salary relief and he plays the same position as their young phenom, JJJ.

In other words...

You aren't getting an asset back for Love or Conley.

Their contracts are neutral at best.

I don't think he is a terrible contract.

But he isn't a good one either.

That was the entire point.

Kevin would have more trade value today if he had not been extended. I made that claim over the summer saying it was a bad move for the Cavs. The Cavs are not getting much in the way of assets in return because of his long term contract.

IF he were still up after next year, more teams would want him and be willing to give assets without sending back bad contracts.

At this point, I don't know how anyone can even argue that. Because if the Cavs had even 1 trade partner offering quality assets for Love, he would be gone.
another mistake by you....Love was up after THIS year. Not next year.

Answered it in my first reply to you when you mentioned you didn't know Wall was injured again. Same I said of Love applies to Conley.

Okay.

Time will tell because both players are available in trade talks right now.

Reported Offers I have seen for Conley are very underwhelming.

But I do appreciate that you answered the question even though I disagree strongly.

I really don't get why he thinks this. Worse, are the posters who base their comments on the poster and not the post wont tell him how foolish that thinking is.

Though he did make a comment which implied he thought Love had another year left after this one, which he did not.

Coming off a injury too.
I'll say the same to you. Depends who wants him. If Toronto really wanted him he's probably more valuable with a few years less over an expiring contract as they would know they'd have him past the season.

another mistake by you....Love was up after THIS year. Not next year.

Love signed a 5 year deal in 2015. That takes him through next year.

Next year may have been a player option, I don't feel like looking it up. But if that is a mistake, it is a tiny one.

@WiggyRuss,

If Love were expiring this year, what would teams be willing to deal for him?

I think 2 firsts minimum.

don't completely disagree, but know who might like him? NO if we had Lebron and AD wanted to come here. He's better than anyone LA is offering, and they know they'd have him 4 more years. we'd probably need a 3rd team, though, to get them some younger talent though.

nope- he was up after this year--- it was a player option for the last year that he would without a doubt have opted out of

Disagree

It's better for a Team like Toronto if he is expiring.

If Kawhi leaves, why would they need Love?

Really?

Because I have very clearly backed up every post with logic.

Now, let's see if Wiggy answers a direct question.

So you keep saying, but the guy has averaged roughly 70 games a season the 4 years prior to this one. Only time he has missed playoff games was a freak injury when Olynyk tried to rip off his arm. and if he was needed this season I have no doubt he'd have been back a while ago.

Clarify this for me...

If The Cavs had LeBron?

Love is outstanding as a 3rd option.
