The point is it seems MOST deals like this are of the "bombshell" variety....in NBA and NFL.

We're talking about a franchise that couldn't build a consistent winner around Anthony Davis. Odds are that whatever deal they make, they will screw up and be stuck in purgatory.

This may very well be true... none of this is good, compelling rational for the Pel's to deal with the Lakers now, though.
