The delusional ones are the guys ripping Gilbert and the Cavs FO who have been far more successful than LA in recent rebuilds in success and time to complete the rebuild.

You get this is an opinion, right? They got a 1st rounder for George Hill, but cannot get an asset of any kind for Kevin Love? That's delusional.

I think your Cavs are having trouble grasping this tanking thing, winning 2 of their last 3 and now in the 3rd slot behind the Knicks and Suns.
Now that I'll give you. But finishing anywhere in bottom 3 is the same. 4 not much different (12% chance to 14).

They got that first so the bucks could trade salary away

Quote the post where I compared Parker to Love.

I'll wait.....
Are you being serious? You compared davis/Love and Harden/parker. Davis = Harden in this scenario and Love = Parker.

Implied Harden and AD are superstars so you will ignore an issue they might have (defense and health). while Parker and love are not and you can't do the same

How about not sign a stiff like Mozgov?

How about that Mozgov was signed by Short Buss which is why Magic had to trade Russell to unload Mozgov.

Short Buss created the mess that Magic and Pelinka have been trying to clean up.

Didn't I say Laker FO when referring to the time since they started the rebuild?

That is completely accurate.

Surely the difference between Jabari and Harden is rather obvious no DT?

And as much as you love Kevin Love he was never as good as AD even on his best day. I know we've gone back and forth of Love over the last few years...

Any rebuild that was successful for the Cavs involved a prime Lebron. Lakers rebuild was spiked by Lebron this year to 4th in the West prior to his injury. We'll see how long this current rebuild lasts for the Cavs. They currently will have no cap space to work with next season. If they dump all their cap holds (including Burks, Nwaba, and recent additions Stauskas and Baldwin) and cut loose Smith (partially guaranteed), they can get to approx $19M. Burks will be a big decision ($17+M cap hold).

Never said they'd take him with the deal, but many seem to think he just can't play and Lebron wouldn't even want him.

That said, IF they struck out and no one wanted their money, I'd bet Lebron would want LA to see what it took to get him.

It's not a matter of whether or not he can still play or whether or not Lebron would want him.

When healthy, he can still play and there's no doubt that he can help the Lakers. He can hit 3's, he can rebound and he knows how to play with Lebron.

But even if the Lakers strike out in the off-season, I doubt they try to get Love because he just makes too much money.

Imo, they'd be more likely to bring back a couple of the current 1 year deal guys and then try to pick up a shooter and/or a defense/rebounding guy on 1 year deals and preserve their cap space for the next off-season when AD is an FA.

That's my point, stakes. The difference between Harden and Parker is far greater than that of AD and Love.
