Why would we have no patrols, guards, or surveillance? It turns the Rio Grande into a choke point. It also makes entering around the wall a choke point. Wow...it isn’t reaally hat complex.

So, let me make it easier for you, build a wall and pull the manpower because according to you and others "walls work" or in Gkekoanese the argument for the stupid thing. Once more, there's already a wall, fencing and natural barriers there. A new wall to replace what's already there is stupid and a waste of money even if Mexico pays for it. Increase manpower, institute more advanced technology and ancillary personnel, I'm all for, building a wall because frightened people have been scared once again, is NOT justification for a shiny new unnecessary replacement wall.

Oh, you are so naïve. It's not a cival war obsession, it's simply that I recognize that the division between the left and the right in the country are SO FAR apart, that there is no healing. Neither side will tolerate the other side winning. The only solution is total separation, hopefully peaceful separation, but realistically that wouldn't work, so Civil War is the most realistic outcome.

Hasn't this already been done? Seriously, what would be different this time except more dead people and a need to reconstruct the country into something like or unlike what it already is?

At BEST 40% of the population is in favor of the wall. With two years of control of the house, senate and the oval office... you got no wall. Trump was more concerned with trying to kill Obama's legacy, and give his buddies a tax break.

He got back on the wall to save the Senate in the 2018 mid terms, he is sticking to it now because if he does not, he will start to lose his base ( about 32-40% of the population)

So you think 34 NEW republicans would not win if America was really supportive of the wall?? Everyone knew what was at stake. Trump made it very plain with his commercials of the Brown walkers, and how drugs and crime were literally invading from the south. Women bound and gagged to be shipped in and used as sex slaves, kids forced to lie about who their parents were and we needed to save them by placing them in cages.....

Why pull the manpower? Walls do work but are imperfect. They make the job of the border patrol easier. You are a smart man...stop acting like a dumb ass.

Nobody is scared. We are tired of this shit. Stop or slow the flow of those crossing the border illegally. Stop the drugs from crossing. Stop the human trafficking.

The fence that is currently there is insufficient. It doesn’t cover enough area and is too vulnerable.

Demand creates a need for supply, not the other way around. Pile as many drugs in or around your home or mine and it's likely neither of us bothers with it. People use drugs liquid and otherwise for recreation and/or escape. Demand is increasing not going away, it will be here for as long as there are people.
