To let Norman go? Probably not since the cap hit would be fairly high and next year likely only around $2m. But you can not resign P. Smith, Crowder etc... Besides, 2019-2020 will not have high expectations and releasing a few over paid players now seems ideal. We have holes everywhere dad so financially, let's be frugal this year, cut the fat and wait for next off season when Gruden & Co are finally fired.it wouldnt be the best financially

And should have no problem filling the position...For what its worth, the Chiefs fired their DC today. The Skins, well, they just stand pat.
I like Easton Stick! He is an inexpensive mid round guy, won't cost too much and if you don't like him you can look for a higher round pick in 2020 and maybe you'll already have your backup.
Rypien might be worth a look also.
