Bullshit!!! If you have time go back and dissect the "WHOLE" game and you will see that they were several blown calls on both teams. The Rams had the ball in the redzone and Goff had his helmet grabbed, there was no facemask called by the refs. It was a "BLATANT" facemask that wasn't call. If it were called the Rams would have 1st and goal. What makes a difference of a blown call in the 1,2 or 3rd quarter, than a blown call in the 4th quarter? Saint fans have to quit bitching about the bad calls, as both teams got away with bad calls.

Exactly. I was screaming at the TV that entire sequence at Payton. I hate the Rams with a passion, obviously because I'm a Seahawk fan but football 101 in the 2 minute drill with the ball in the red zone and a tie game is milk the clock, make the opponent use up their TO's and kick the winning FG with minimal time left so your opponent can't score without a miracle. But fucking Payton thinks he has to prove he's smarter than anybody and totally butt fucks the entire fan base with that idiotic play calling. I wanted Brees to win another SB so bad this year and now I have to watch the fucking Rams and Patriots. Two teams I despise.

Having said that, I'm not gonna say the call meant nothing because it obviously did. The play should never have happened but it did and that official blew the call worse than Jim Joyce at first base for the 27th out in a perfect game. At least the perfect game thing could be remedied as it was a personal achievement and doesn't matter team wise in the big picture. But this is different due to the magnitude. Even still, the Saints should have won without that. I feel bad for the fans and hate the ref in question but it is something that is done. All the bitching won't change that.
