Yes, the SEC wants them.

That's why they're doing this.

West Virginia may be shit out of luck.

Doubtful. If they did, Mizzou would already have an invite or already have left.

Everything I've seen or read states that any offer they have is CONDITIONAL on the Big 12 collapsing before the move.

Mizzou wants to be wanted. But nobody really wants them.

IMO Mizzou will have official offer in a few day. It just makes too much sense with the SEC needing a 14th and Missouri beeing "rumored" all along.

I hope they come, because a 13 team conference would be a headache.

IDK as im not a big follower of the BIG12 or missouri but i would venture that $ and stability would be the driving force if they decide to move.

I'm sure it is. But right now, they will make more money where they are. And stability is not an issue with the contract that the Big 12 has signed for Tier 1 and 2 rights.

This is a chancellor that just a few weeks ago was pledging loyalty and solidarity, and all but BEGGING OU and Texas not to go. And let's not forget the crying they did when they got shitted on by the Big 10 last year.

I'm just so tired of ALL this crap. Mizzou needs to decide WHO they are.....know their role and shut up.

IDK man i'd say stability is an issue. The big12 has lost what? 4 teams in two years (assuming Mizzou jumps), with Oklahoma and Okst basically just waiting until the PAC is ready.

Not really. The PAC have all but told them they are not wanted WITHOUT Texas. OU and OSU won't be going to the PAC.

Tier 1 and 2 rights being owned by the conference is the ultimate in stability.....because even if you leave, you don't have any tier 1 or 2 rights......so you make no TV revenue. NO conference is taking you without that situation being resolved.

Mizzou has wanted out for years. But stability and money are not the issues on the table.

I do not want Mizzou in the SEC. I gotta be honest. There are so many other schools that I would rather see join.

WVU is there as the fall back option.

Slive has been using WVU to force Missouri's hand. WVU is currently pissed, but would probably take the offer anyway.

I honestly wasnt aware of this. Voted on yesterday or something right? I assume Mizzou didnt agree to this? and your right that makes the BIG12 pretty stable (for now). Im still betting Mizzou to the SEC and the BIG12 to come east.

Well I don't want Mizzou in the SEC, but I didn't want A&M either. So...

I really wish they would consult me first before making any decisions like these. Assholes.

The Big 12 still isn't the ultimate in stability. They only signed their rights over for 6 years. When A&M left they said it was a move for the next 100 years. I think Big 10, Pac 12, SEC and ACC view their future as lasting longer than a senatorial term. Plus that six years is probably really 5 years as the final year is basically a little more than the cost of exit fees.

While you are right that the Pac wouldn't take Oklahoma without UT this time things may change in 5 years. If the SEC gets a new deal that is bigger than the B1G's deal the B1G will expand to get a bigger deal. When the B1G expands the Pac will have to expand and really the only programs that make sense for the Pac are Texas and OU. Even if UT doesn't come the Pac will have to take OU. I think they made a real mistake not taking them this time around for that exact reason.

I officially despise Mizzou. You JUST got a better tv deal from the Big 12.

In all honesty, though, if the ACC is shoring itself up, Mizzou probably is the best option for the SEC to go to 14. They could stay at 13, but that seems like a pain in the ass. Mizzou actually gives them a couple more markets they don't have yet. Gives both divisions a 6 game divisional schedule.

West: Bama, LSU, A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss St., Mizzou

East: Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vandy, South Carolina

You mean Clemson and Florida State said no.....well fuck. Alright....hmm.....ok I got this, lets just pretend this was a move to get aTm, and well do a coin flip on which crap school to pick up that will balance the conference at 14.
