Upon some reflection of the game I'm thinking the biggest reason Seattle lost was their O-line failing to make any plays what so ever. Credit goes to Dallas's front 7 who were making the right reads all night long and seemed to know what the Hawks were doing on every play regardless of it was pass, run, or play action. I know many people want to blame the coaching but if the players aren't able to execute the plan during the game there isn't much the coaches can do. The Seattle O-line failed to adjust to the pressure last night and I don't think simply passing more instead or running would have fixed it. I say that because the Cowboys were getting through the line with ease on both passing and running plays. I don't know how many times Carson was getting hit behind the line of scrimmage. He had no chance. That's on the O-line. They failed. And the Cowboys D-line dominated and ultimately won them the game in my opinion. So rather than roast our coaches, who did a pretty good job all year with our run-heavy game plans, I'd prefer to congratulate the Dallas front 7 players for playing an outstanding game.

It did seem like Dallas knew the play pre snap. I wonder if Seattle was somehow tipping the play off.

Hard to say, but having Kris Richards (former Seattle coach) as your D-coordinator probably had a little something to do with the Cowboys knowing some of the Hawks tendencies and plays.

It didn't help in the regular season.

The Cowboys’ front seven bottled up the Seahawks’ rushing attack, with Leighton Vander Esch and Maliek Collins in particular putting together strong efforts. Seattle managed just 59 yards rushing on 21 carries by running backs (2.8 yards per carry), and 28 of those yards came on one attempt.

take away that one run and its 1.55 ypc wow

That Vander Esch is really impressive. I really like that kid. He should be a Seahawk. lol.

And yes the Dallas D really stuffed the Seahawks runners but all the runs count. You can't take away the one long one to make it seem worse. If we are doing that then you could say without Zeke's one 44 yard run the Seahawks held Elliot under 100 yards and his YPC would only be 3.7 per attempt. But that wouldn't be the truth. And there is no need to try to make the Seattle run game sound worse than it was last night because it was already pathetic enough even when you include the one long run.

Congrats to the Dallas Cowboys on a well earned win. Their run D was exceptional and the main reason they came out ahead, in my opinion. Good luck to them in the divisional round!

@WindyCityCoug you butthurt or speechless, you cant comment just face palm

LOL,
comment on what, .... Bvtch ?

Your Ignorance with regards to who is the actual Play- caller in Seattle?
Your absolute ignorance to the Seattle coaching situation in general?
or how about comments about how shvtty a situation your pathetic Steelers are in, with the dickhead Tomlin and his QB and how the Locker room is a total disaster in the steel city?

take your pick, lots to comment on..... all boring, and repetitively redundant, however.

Theres really not much to say about this one. Dallas out played Seattle in every facet and thats why they won. I dont think Dallas is a better team but that doesnt matter.

that you would think a Defensive HC has ALL the say in the offensive play-calling.

stick to the shvtstain that is PITT sports, perfect for the steel city Tards.
I am sure some riveting Todd Haley threads are out there somewhere.
