Its not going to. 8 is dumb. FCS has more than 8 and ND State wins every year. It could be a 16 team field and it's still Bama vs Clemson in the final.

Same arguments from people who wanted to prevent the expansion to 4. I think the on field results prove 8 is fine.

Your second point is redundant this year as I think they are the best 2 teams by far. There may be repercussions that have not been foreseen, but I think it is the best system.
