Will Ferrell may have been funny once. I guess I missed it.

And he has not changed or adapted since, the epitome of a 1 trick pony.

My kids BEGGED me to see it when we had some time to kill (bought my wife some spa time for her B-Day) so I relented.
I left the movie about 1/2 hour in. Not only dumb, but freaking boring and predictable.

Man their careers might pretty much in jeopardy seems like after this bomb Will Ferrell may struggle to be the lead actor in funny movies anymore its pretty normal to fade out as a comedian. He may end up doing something similar to Adam Sandler and do a few Netflix movies but I just don't think Ferrells brand sells anymore being a funny idiot

I haven't seen Daddy's Home. They are on my to watch list. I didn't care for the Other Guys. Granted, Mark going on and on about Eva Mendez being Wills wife was hilarious.

Old School is great. Let me clarify, I'm not a fan of his comedies where it's just him. When he is the lead.

Is the issue Ferrell or is the issue writing?

Ferrell was hilarious on SNL recently. He was solid in The Lego Movie.

Step Brothers was 11 years ago. The 'lets get Ferrell to lead a dumb comedy' thing obviously hasn't been working for him lately. But Ferrell still has a lot of potential left if they utilize it correctly.

Matt Damon was also good on SNL recently and he is someone that has hit a massive slump, too. Just have to get back out there and find a role you're good in. Like how Ryan Reynolds found Deadpool.


Anyone who didn't like Anchorman or The Other Guys is an alien to me. Those movies are great.
