Is the issue Ferrell or is the issue writing?

Ferrell was hilarious on SNL recently. He was solid in The Lego Movie.

Step Brothers was 11 years ago. The 'lets get Ferrell to lead a dumb comedy' thing obviously hasn't been working for him lately. But Ferrell still has a lot of potential left if they utilize it correctly.

Matt Damon was also good on SNL recently and he is someone that has hit a massive slump, too. Just have to get back out there and find a role you're good in. Like how Ryan Reynolds found Deadpool.

Anyone who didn't like Anchorman or The Other Guys is an alien to me. Those movies are great.

Old School is great. Let me clarify, I'm not a fan of his comedies where it's just him. When he is the lead.

People praise "Old School" a lot (and I do like it overall) but I think they're mostly praising the first act. The movie really kind of drags and wanders before it ends and the jokes start to slow down and miss a little bit too I think.

I think The Other Guys was my favorite comedy of his, followed by Talledega Nights. I love the line about Andy Richter's character "he trains horses, who're also gay."

alright, i know this was shit on, but i'm bored and working on a buzz... the opening 3 minutes was well enough. feel like it's going to fall very far from here. let's hope we all do.

alright, fuck the negative reviews and takes on this. I enjoyed
Dracula: Dead and Loving It with the great Leslie Nielsen and the next act has started as such, i'm sure it can still falter and will, but looking up, and as i type this... my conviction is waning....

I'd watch John C. Reilly eat cereal. He's fucking great.
