You guys think the thread counter stops at 1,000 or 10,000?

I know they used to lock threads at 10k. The OT I'm board thread in the hockey forum. Shut the board down briefly .When it hit 16k years ago. I believe we can go past 10k now since the most recent upgrade

No. Not at all. That wasn't directed at you. That was directed at anyone who is easily offended. Most sports message board posters are NOT offended that easily. Most have tough skins and I would assume you do as well, if you came over from rivals. No problems, my friend.

One of our openly gay posters is in the SportsHoopla hall of fame. Hokiehighsuperfly was one of the funniest posters I've ever met. Extremely good guy and was a very close friend. He's got some classic threads and replies. if you ever want a good read

Sports has always been anti Gay until the last few years. Until a male athlete in a big 4 team sport comes out, us Gays will always think sports is bigoted toward us.

Sports aren't Anti-gay. Never has been. Society, maybe. Bible, yes. Maybe you should be more concerned with every show like Will and Grace that highlights a "flamer" and feeds the stereotype. I don't go to gay bars or ask people if they're gay. My only experience is primarily through television.

Also, Edisto beach was one of my all time favorite vacation spots. I went to college at Lander and lived in Greenwood. SC but my landlady had a vacation place on Edisto and I had fun times there.

I agree but I will vouch that Toad is a really good guy & 99% of the outrageous things he may say, he does not mean & it just to get a rise out of people. Some things were allowed to be said on Rivals that were over the top and the mods let it ride.

I think he knows that's not acceptable here as it shouldn't be acceptable anywhere.

I hope he will someday get the chance to redeem himself in everyone's eyes.

I disagree sports has been anti Gay for years. Ask any former pro athlete who was in the closet while playing was because of fear of being ostracized in the lockerroom.

When I think "Anti-gay". I think of Bible thumpers. People that preach against it. I don't see too many "fuck the Gays" signs in the crowd. I didn't know the Patriots slogan for 2017 was ,"We're as Straight as They Come" . Sports have always been masculine and "macho". The flaming stereotype just doesn't fit in. Do you really think there haven't been gay people in sports til recently? OSU had that one QB that is on TV now.

Yea, Edisto is nice. But you better have everything you want when you get there, because there's nothing but a piggly wiggly. They do have a few bars and restaurants on the island now, so it's not completely void of entertainment.
