Ghost and Provorov are the best defensemen the Flyers have. 20 games of struggles doesn’t mean it’s time to put them on the trade block. Jesus guys.

If this board were running the squad we would’ve traded Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Ghost, Provorov, JvR, who do you guys actually want on this team? Any good players? I love Konecny as much as the next guy, but are we really going to build a team around him and Laughton?

Sell low on everyone is a pretty bad way to run a team.

Don't get me wrong, his offensive upside can be awesome but good lord you have to be physical to play defense.
As Wbon mentioned when he produces he's a good player when not he's a liability. He will regain his form just slumping and so is the PP because of it. People were putting down Laine just a few weeks ago and now he's leading the league in scoring so we need to pump the breaks a bit on Ghost...

How do figure he's leading in points? Also he's a foward not a defenseman.

Also I'm not anti Ghost just think his defensive capabilities qill end up costing us to many games if he doesn't learn to be more physical.

I was talking about goal scoring at one point he only had a few and people were calling Laine one dimensional, slow, etc...now he's first in goals! Ghost can easily find his game and be the player he can be as he's done it before. Pump the brakes is my point...

I forgot to mention that Laine is actually on pace for 74 goals and people were still bitching when he slumped a bit...ridiculous. Let's cheer Ghost on instead of booing him and Prov.

Hart stopped 59/63 (.937 sv%) in two starts this weekend.

Phantoms went 3-0-0 overall in the 3 games in 3 nights set. Solid.

Also after a really slow start Frost leads the OHL in points with 55 in 29 games.

1.67 ppg last year
1.90 ppg so far this year (on a much weaker Soo team too)

I wonder if he is finally settling in the AHL now? He may see the Flyers at some point this season.

I wouldn't mind that either. I really want to see this kid play.I admit, I have Never seen him play.
He's good but best to leave him down there until he becomes bored will make the NHL level easier to adjust. He may be getting closer though...

I hope so. He certainly seems to be playing a little better. Unfortunately the only Phantoms game I’ve seen this year was their worst outing where the PK and Hart got absolutely torched. Their PK basically hasn’t given up a goal since then. If it’s the right game/date I’m thinking of, 55/56 since then. #1 in the league I believe.

Edit: not the right date, the one I watched was 10/12, they’re 55/56 since 10/28. Still good though.

Hex, Spies, and Smaller Plates - A Final Analysis of the Flyers' firing of Ron Hextall | Crossing Broad

I know this is CrossingBroad, I don't really take their stuff seriously but this one was written by Sanfillipo. If this is true...this is absurd.

All too believable and such a shame. It mirrors what has been said elsewhere by more credible sources. It's also not far from how my company has been run for the past year under our new CEO, and employees are starting to jump ship en masse. Somehow the Board seems to remain oblivious, perhaps for the same reasons as mentioned in the article - information is kept very well contained. Unfortunately, I make way too much to just quit but believe me, I'm looking hard.
